      I just failed the nurse practitioner exam.😭😭😓 I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling. 😥 I'm confident that I will be a good nurse . I just need to get past this, move on and persevere

      Since becoming a nurse, after decades in Automotive industry, I have known two nurses that have committed suicide ! Prior to becoming a nurse ZERO co workers in any industry !!
      Coincidence ? 🤔 I think not !!!
      Healthcare is corrupted to its very core and profit over ANYTHING or ANYONE has become the norm !

    I couldn’t work at this one hospital. I was having severe anxiety and hearing voices. That was besides going to the hospital a lot. I was constantly sick. It was so stressful, that the minute I finished with a patient, I had to transfer them and get a severely sick patient. Though I wasn’t icu trained, I would get those patients and I had 9 others. I became qualified for the endoscopy unit and the head honchos wouldn’t allow me to be transferred. Also, I was being interrupted, bullied and pushed at work. But, when I was being written up due to being cranky all of the time. They got upset, because I wouldn’t work later than my shift. I quit when they put me on 2 week notice. I found another job right away and got into home health care. I also had an endoscopy job that I was being severely bullied in and I ended up with bulimia and depression with anxiety. So, I left and took 3 months off and it was great. But I have developed severe schizoaffective disorder. I had basically 42 years of hell. I am now disabled. I don’t know when I had a severe cold as a nursing aide for the four years I did it, I didn’t see how hard nursing was.
    People make mistakes because they can’t do the jobs. I usually quit those jobs to save my license. But now it’s on retired. Disability doesn’t pay well. But, it beats the dread I used to have. I am happier not to work. Because, now life has a lot of dread and anxiety. I am talking to my psychiatrist about this, constantly.

      Frustration is a very positive sign. It means that the solution to your problem is within range, but what you're currently doing isn't working, and you need to change your approach in order to achieve your goal.

    Dartie, can you make a video about psych np practicums for students? Where to find them, if we have to pay, and if having a compact license can help find practicums in other states. Also let us know if you're accepting students for practicums from other states. Thanks

    Hey! I’m doing a bachelors in psychology, can I still become psych NP?

    • @NotTodaySatan557
      @NotTodaySatan557 Год назад

      You first need your RN, then move onto an NP program.
      You can likely get into an accelerated BSN program bc you already have an BA 😊 best of luck!

      Most psych NP programs require you to work in a psych unit as an staff RN for at least a year or two
