I've had mine for +/- 4 months and abused it with rhythm games, I think it's holding up but it feels like keys are getting more and more wobbly... Might be my fingers tricking me.
5:00 Logitech G HUB software does not allow you to reprogram any key, only the macro keys G1 .. G5. You can potentially remap combinations like Shift+G3 for example, using Lua scripting support in G HUB. But you can not reprogramm the F10 key for example
The names are really confusing to customer, why logitech so basically; - g813 and g815 = is the same product (wired, 3mm total travel distance, has USB PASSTHROUGH) (g813 = asia, g815 = US) - g913 and g915 = is also the same product (wireless, 2.7mm total travel distance) (g913 = asia, g915 = US)
The fact that all the symbols on the keys were not backlit made this a no for me, too bad because other than that it was pretty damn ultimate...the 815 is the one I returned
We have a G815 and sure wish Logitech had put a second LED under the front of keys with two functions (e.g., 9 and 0 for this pair of parentheses). Great keyboard otherwise. The macro editor isn't as easy to use as the Microsoft one was.
If you're a noob level typist, maybe that'd be a problem. If you have muscle memory on those keys, it won't be a problem. If you're a gamer, those are practically useless. After all, this is a GAMING keyboard anyway.
@@thevelfy I think ‘gaming’ keyboards have matured to a point where many of them can be used for typing also, hence why they come in a choice of loud/soft switches, to keep things quiet in office environments, so having some functions not backlit is a glaring omission imo. Sure, more pro typists won’t care, but I’d say most aren’t professional typists - they’re probably a part time typist/gamer, so not having everything lit (as Logitech did with their G810 ‘gaming’ keyboard) is a step backwards. They could’ve had these secondary functions as optional LEDs to disable when you press the Game Mode button, similar to how Game Mode disables certain keys.
I would like to know as well, I am a fan of wide left shift and big two row enter, its the only thing that doesnt make sense to me in ANSI, and this comes from someone who used ANSI keyboards for like forever in the past, once I tried the big enter I cant go back, its awesome.
ABS keys that wear out in 3 months of use, plus no secondary symbol lighting is a deal breaker on a 200 dollar plus keyboard. I want to love these, but wtf are these guys thinking? Maybe they'll fix it with a mk2 edition?
I completely agree! Even the cheapest membrane keyboards have illuminated secondary symbols. And just to add - how difficult was it to add another two led indicators for numlock and scroll lock? Give the consumers what they want and they will buy like crazy, but no company ever listens.
I want to buy a new gaming keyboard, decide between logitech g613 or g915 lightspeed But I can't decide😔. The logitech g915 lightspeed is to expensive idk if is worth it 🤔
Did you have any issue with your G815 being warped? Mine seems to work fine, but the case seems to be warped enough that the center rubber foot won't even reach my desk.
Thats a global ‘problem’ with this keyboards. But i’ve read someone officially replied it’s a feature to prevent issues with the keyboard in the future
lol completely random but no one should be playing dmc5 with a mouse and keyboard lol dope vid though i just bought a g915tkl and my order arrives in the morning i cant wait
For any PC gamer who's been a gamer for more than a week, stay away from these keyboards. The extra G buttons on the left side will throw you off, in addition to that the low profile buttons will make it hard to actually get a feel for where your fingers actually are. I made the switch to the Logitech G512 instead, which in my opinion is a thousand times better for gaming.
I would not recommend this keyboard. YOu can not swap key-switches nor can you buy new ones. And if you can somehow get some switches you need to solder these and risk braking your keyboard completely. The support for this product is even worse than that. If you contact them and ask for switches they don't even know what your talking about. And now comes the worst part. Logitec says they test each and every switch and that each and every switch has the same quaslity...yeah, no. My keyboard came with a broken switch and while testing through the buttons i recognized that almost every switch felt different, there is no consistency overall, the keys feel very cheap and i bet they wont last longer than the warranty. This keyboard should be in the 30,-$ pricepool, not in the 130's.... Don´t buy this $hit!
Just picked up my G815 last week and I LOVE it!
How is it doing over time?
I've had mine for +/- 4 months and abused it with rhythm games, I think it's holding up but it feels like keys are getting more and more wobbly... Might be my fingers tricking me.
To be fair, most of the keys feel like they have some play when wiggling them
@@waste4245 thank you :)
Just bought mine too 👍
Great video man. Very informative. I just bought the G815, cant wait!
I love the minimalistic and symmetrical of the keyboard. But the price just too expensive. Will consider.
Solid review man you sold me on this keyboard

Amazing video quality
the brown tactile switch is more like the cherry red mx switch we use in competitions.
which one is quite I like quite switches?
Interesting. You'd think it would be more like cherry browns.
So basically the 815 and the 915 are the exact same in every aspect, except the 915 is wireless ? Am I correct?
amazing review people should recognize you more
Keyboard sound test would have been nice
Why are the secondary functions are still not lit?....................in such expensive keyboards
Well for the M keys it's so you know which profile you using
Very nice review, thank you! Just a mention - I think wireless connectivity is through Lightspeed tech, not Lightsync.
Yes, you're right, it was a slip of the tongue :)
Is that cooler master n200 case?
The fact that all the symbols on the keys were not backlit made this a no for me, too bad because other than that it was pretty damn ultimate...the 815 is the one I returned
why do you care so much about backliting bruh

Hey thanks for the review. Do you find the non-backlit symbols an issue? Seems to be people’s main gripe with these boards.

What is the layout of that keyboard?

Does the wireless or BT icon on the G915 keyboard always flash when in use? I think that would annoy me if it's always flashing
Only while pairing, otherwise it's just always on

The keys are rated for 70 mil as opposed to Cherry's 50 mil. Simply false analysis.
Dominic Commisso not the switches big brain, the key caps. Also, liking your own comments doesn’t make your contributions valid.
@@2ndAveScents sorry i assumed you weren't a dumb enough chimp to think they aren't both made of plastic. my bad.
Hey what are the alternative keyboards? thanks!

No, ours was fine. Might be a transport issue.

which one has better typing experience?
Both are virtually the same, just pick a version with tactile or clicky keys, which are really nice for typing.
When the keyboard cost more then the monitor xD
Dragon Revel haha
Then that monitor must be potato for gaming uses... and at best low end for also anything else.
I mean, if you're having problems hitting control, you could always just map g5 to control
I was gonna say
Does the g815 rgb turn back on when pc come out of sleep
Yes, it should
@@BenchHouse I saw tons of reviews from even just a few months ago of people having this problem it’s probably something with G hub
very nice keyboard but its to expensive, nice review :D
its not steel its magnesium aluminum alloy
IF it was made of steel then would it be bad?
Good review
Best review
