I love Acqua di Parma Oud. It is elegant and unique; something that is not being worn by the masses. I also love their soft shave cream. It is a luxurious indulgence that makes me look forward to shaving every morning. Great job, spot on with your interpretation of the line.

Mirto di Panarea & Arancia di Capri are my favorites, and smell great layered. Fico di Amalfi is also solid.

I love AdP too, it's my favourite. I own 17 from this house and they all perform fantastically on my skin.
This is also my favorite house even though I don't have any from the Blu Mediterraneo line. Colonia Oud and Colonia Intensa are absolutely gorgeous and my favorites from the house

Right on description, Colonia Pura is my favourite, citris, fresh laundry, great hot weather scent. Lasts pretty well, nonoffensive.

The Leather and the Essenza sound great. The oud sound different, first I've heard of citrus and oud. Very nice.. thank you sir.
My favorite house as well Dan. I own quite a few. I own all the blue bottles (that are still in production) except Cidro and Mandorlo. Along with Quercia, Mirra, Leather, Colonia Assoluta, and Colonia Pura. I have sample flutes of Note di Colonias I, II, and III as well.
I hadn't heard of Acqua di Parma until I was away last October and I saw a shop with a selection of their fragrances and ended up buying the Oud fragrance which I love wearing and recently purchased Colonia Asssoluta, which I also like but doesn't seem to last as long as the Oud.
When I'm away this October I intend to get another one or two of their range and found your video very informative.

Colonia Essenza is my summer signature scent, but for colder times, Amouage Journey Man/Encre Noir a l'Extreme. Agreed that AdP are fantastico.
Fico di Amalfi is such a great Fragrance!

Acqua di Parma would probably have to be my favourite niche house as well because of the sheer number of their products on my to get list. I'm hoping to add Essenza and Club to my collection in spring.
I have intensa. I bought it in italy. Marvellous fragrance, summery and gentlemanly with citrus and woody character.
Leather edp is my favourite though, beautiful leather with a bit of raspberry, very fresh, strong leather but not too strong, very vital. Givea a true boss feeling

I get a lot of compliments from girls in particular when I wear that cologne and I am very happy about that.

I love the Neroli one. Anyway! My favourite niche house is Mancera. You know why? Because it’s the only one I own any of! lol. I have Cedrat Boise and Black to Black. Take care geezer and all the best.
Intensa, Essenza, and Leather are my favorites from the House.
Just dipping my toes into the proverbial pool of niche houses and so far I have really enjoyed the offerings from Imaginary Authors, Atelier Cologne, and L'Artisan Perfumeur. I've only tried Colonia Essenza from Acqua di Parma and felt it a little too light and fleeting.
Great reviews Mr Smelly! Essenza tops it for sure. I tried the brand new Acqua di Parma Blu Med Chinotto di Liguria yesterday and today...awesome top notes and all round one of the best IMO. I would love hear your thoughts?
Aqcua di Parma is my favourite fragrance brand, too !
But since i tried Acqua di parma OUD cologna concentre i was bloooown away. for me that is THE best fragrance i have ever smelled

Hey Dan, been a long minute since you made this video. I happen to be in the market for my first ADP buy. Would you suggest I start with Colonia Essenza, Intensa or the original? I’m a barbershop fougere guy and love that soupy clean scent and vibe. Thoughts?
Mandorlo di sicilia smells like a root beer float to me. I like this line but haven't really given it a chance since the mandorlo doesn't really last on my skin. I'm going to give them another look (sniff) after watching your review. My favorite niche houses are Byredo, MFK and FM. I enjoyed this video. Thank you. Missing your videos with Smurfygurly though.....

Bought 3 from the Colonia line 2 years ago. All but the original for having a too weak performance. Lovely colognes.
Essenza being my favorite. But Assoluta and Intensa are both also very, very good, with the typical amazing soapiness so caracteristic of this line. Assoluta for Summer days, Essenza for Summer days and nights and the intensa for Spring , Summer nights and Fall.
From the Mediterranean line I first bought Mandorlo di Sicilia, a blind buy and realized it is quite similar to Hanea Mori HM.
It's a strange fragrance from this line. Gourmandish, sweet. It's Oke but misses all that I love about Acqua di Parma, which to me must be the Queen of Soapiness.
To correct my mistake I also bought Bergamotto di Calabria, which fits quite well in AdP family. Beautiful Spring Summer fresh citrus with AdP Colonia DNA.
For this year, maybe even today I will not resist buying Cedro di Taormina, which is my next one in line from this house, which by now is my second favorite house.

Colonia Essenza is my favourite of the line too, but I absolutely disagree with everyone saying it's better suited for warm seasons (which is almost everyone). I can understand that from the opening where it does start off pretty citrusy and fresh, but as it dries down and the complexity shines through, it feels a lot more warming and pleasant for colder weather. Colonia Mirra from the ingredient collection is similar in atmosphere and definitely one I would also own if it didn't chunk my wallet.
This is also my favorite house. Along with xerjoff and creed and byredo. And tom ford would round out my top 5
You should also give a try to Cedro Di Taormina, the best of the Blu Mediterraneo line with Ginepro Di Sardegna in my opinion!
Yes I've tried it an it's yet another great fresh smell with its own unique character.

My favourite Niche house is....Acqua di Parma. Colonia Essenza was my favourite from the start but I tend move more and more to Colonia Intensa. Lovely masculine smoky fragrance.
This year I decided for give 7 Colonia Intensa gift sets to 5 of my better clients and my 2 sons for X-mas.
You really should try it.
Colonia Assoluta - amazing fresh and sophisticated summer scent. Someone said it's what Dickie Greenleaf would wear in the Talented Mr. Ripley - I agree. Get it right now while there are still a few bottles available.
I'm trying to decide on an ADP blind buy, since I've never sampled any. I should probably buy some samples, but I'd rather put all my money towards one bottle. Would you recommend Absoluta over all the other ADP's you've tried? I almost pulled the trigger on Colonia Club, the one in the dark green bottle. 😊
Oud is a masterpiece/ my wife loves it as well so that a bonus -:)

Excellent review!. I own the Colonia Essenza and it feels really old school, the floral tones are very strong, as strong as the citrus notes, which makes it feel like a fragrance more oriented to women than men. Frankly I would not wear this one, way too floral for a guy, but that is my opinion. I'll give mine to some grandma that may want it. I own other fragrances like Roja Parfums Elysium Cologne Parfum and although it contains floral and fruity notes, it feels manly and not old school. If you are more oriented to manly fragrances, these two are definitely a no, no no.
I have ordered Colonia Oud as Christmas gift for myself. Not sure if I will be able to not to open it up before Christmas eve. Happy holidays from Prague!

Bought my first AdP today from TK Maxx, total blind buy, but £40 for 75ml AdP Cedra di Taormina. I believe it's discontinued now. What's your opinion of this Mr Smelly? I find it a mix between TdHermes and Aqua Amara. Projection only 1 hour, gorgeous dry down for me
What is performance like on fico de amalfi?

i effnig loved colonia pura as it just smells clean, inoffensive, and slightly florally. only problem was it lasted like an hour and a half on my skin. so disappointed with the performance cause it really is one of the better clean and inoffensive smells out there.

The best of the Colonia line has to be the Assoluta. The best of the Blu Med line are Bergamotto di Calabria, Mirto di Panarea and Chinotto di Liguria. AdP have some good perfumes but nobody can beat Guerlain for the sheer variety and consistent quality.

Creed is my fave house. Always been interested in getting an Acqua Di Parma, but based on a few factors I never got a bottle. Will reconsider Essenza if it smells like NP.

I keep coming back to this video (previously with old accounts). ADP is my favourite house for affordable sophistication and natural ingredients. I have several scents that are similar to the Colonia and they smell great……….until they’re next to it and then they smell like chemicals by comparison.

Acqua di parma is also my favourite niche brand. Acqua di parma is expansive when it comes to their eau de parfums. An eau the parfume costs about 200€/£ like other niche brands. Their eau de toilettes and colones are about 100€/£.

I have most of the ADP's with Essenza being my favorite due to the performance being beast on me. The Blue line I want to start trying however the performance lore tends to inhibit my purchase. Could anyone offer the strongest of the Blue Line? Best performer in regards to longevity and sillage.

Cedro di Taormina and Ginepro di Sardena have great performances. Fico de Amalfi and Chinotto di liguria just average. I own these ones

A lady saw me testing aventus and told me to test one of acqua di parma's perfumes. I didnt like it at first so i didnt bother remembering the name, but I started LOVING the smell after a couple hours. Basically, is there any acqua di parma perfume that competes with aventus? if so what is its name please

Haven’t tried the house yet but the fact that it is a eau de cologne really puts me off tbf. Performance tends to be bad and I’m not super into freshies as well. I like fresh fragrances that might have some woody backbone. Anyway, I do want to try the house out!

I own Arancia, Is great fragrance! Its like a citrus bomb. The only problem i had was the longevity. 2-3 hours the most but i enjoy it nevertheless.
I really like AdP but, surprisingly, I love their heavier offerings such as Colonia Leather and Colonia Oud, and I was disappointed with their well-know Mediterranean fragrances because there was something I just didn't like about them. My loss, I know. Cheers!
