This is my HG foundation and has been for years, but like you, I had to play around with it to learn the best application method. I start with an exfoliated, well-moisturized face, then-and here’s the game changer-I apply the Luminous Silk hydrating primer. I make sure to let it completely dry down before applying the foundation. It’s the best primer I’ve ever used-I don’t know what fairy dust or unicorn tears are in it but omg….I’ve never used anything like it! Then I apply the foundation with my hands and go over it with a stippling motion using my Shiseido foundation brush (the best foundation brush imo). Sometimes I’ll just lightly go over my face with a barely damp Beauty Blender. Powder on the t-zone. And voila-almost perfect, luminous skin!!
Normal to oily. If I powder over this with Laura Mercier translucent powder it stays on pretty well throughout the day. I may have to blot my t-zone after a few hours.
I started mixing in a TINY bit of Kevyn Aucoin sensual skin enhancer with the Armani, It’s gorgeous. I’ve been using Elf primer power grip (pink) it’s AMAZING! Looked flawless all day until I removed it! Wow! And I sprayed with Mehron setting spray 👍🏼🤘🏼💚
Can you please help me choice a primer for that foundation i have pores and combo skin also what would be a good moisturizer for when using that foundation thanks im going crazy it’s sinking in my pores
Hi there-I have normal to oily skin and I use the Armani Luminous Silk primer underneath and it works beautifully under this foundation. They’re meant to be used together. I’ve also found this foundation does NOT apply well if you use a Beauty Blender sponge, but rather stipple it on with a dense foundation brush. I have tremendous pores and with the primer and this application method they’re a lot less noticeable. Hope this helps!
Omg I LOVE this look!!!! I’m definitely with you here - everyone raves about this but I also found it was laying on my skin kind of weird after a while . I do like it and use it a lot but always wondered why it didn’t hold up!!! I will definitely try different skin care underneath !!! Thanks!
I wear mine to work and it still be on when I get off and I work eight hour shifts so it’s pretty long wearing for me I mean I wouldn’t wanna wear my foundation longer than eight hours

Omg I was looking for a comment to agree to, I was so excited to get a sample and it just sat on top of my skin unless I pushed it in with a sponge and then I lost coverage anyway lol not worth it for me. I have slightly dehydrated skin too.
Did you use tan luxe drops on her skin before starting ? Beautiful. I love Armani luminous silk. My front runner lately has been the Patrick ta foundation. I keep gravitating towards it !!
Hey Kelly, These are the NIOD drops. They have an ingredient which creates a film on the skin to help with longevity. Im yet to try the Patrick Ta foundation

The LS foundation is a No for me. I swear by EL DW! in the Island of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 luminous Silk, turns into greasy muck… 🙂↔️

Same. I have it on for 12hrs of work and it still looks pretty good. Could be how i prepped my skin or the setting spray that i used😂

Have you tried it with their Luminous Silk primer? They’re made to be worn together. I use it and the results are beautiful.
I didn't like luminous silk at all when I tried it, it's in my absolutely never pile, but your skill as an artist made the foundation look good 😂
