I also own these glasses and paid for them with my own money. Just wanted to add some context here for anyone else watching/reading that's on the fence about purchasing. 1. Comfort: My head is very skinny and these feel great on me. Most poeple even say they look big. Mileage will vary I suppose just depending on people's individual head shape. Though if you have a particularly wide head, I agree, these glasses will suqueeze you and there's not much getting around it. 2. Diopters: I do not need glasses but I still use them from time to time. Given that these glasses have no adjustment for pupilary distance, not everyone is going to achieve perfect focus in these, but I still appreciate the fact that I can dial in a sort of flavor-of-the-month compromise on what part of the picture I want to look sharp and what part I'm willing to give up in compromise. 3. Coverage: I agree, light leakage around the edges of the lenses is a thing, but in my case it's a welcome thing. I bought these instead of a Quest because I don't want to be boxed in, I want to see my environment too. Reflection: I agree, the downward-reflection you can see in the lenses is a bit distracting, but given the fact that an angled prism is what's achieving the image projection in the first place, you kind of have to accept it as part of the territory until something like Waveguide technology becomes viable enough to serve as a replacement. The reflection factor in these glasses is likely no better or worse than any other XR glasses of the same display category. 4. Software: I agree, their Spacewalker mobile software is extremely rudementary and not really a go-to when operating these glasses. Samsung Dex is a way better operating environment--though I will say that Spacewalker is great for loading up any 3D content you have ready to go on your phone already. Haven't had a chance to try Spacewalker desckop software yet. 5. Heating: I agree, the glasses do get warm on the wired side. But thus far this has been a non-issue for me. The glasses have never overheated; I've not received any burns or injuries otherwise due to the one arm getting a little warm. Hope this was informative to someone out there. I spent about a year trying to search through RUclips comments on these types of glasses to glean some actual usefull information before finally pulling the trigger on some, so just trying to pay it forward with providing more unpaid user experience diaries. Cheers!

Unfortunately, they don't have a brick & mortar store or any store that I know of that has them on display. Since fit and comfort can often be a deciding factor, a trial period is nice to have. Their website and Amazon has a 30 day return window so give it a shot if you're interested.
Love mine. Since I only do it for steam deck gaming. And once the iPhone 16 is out with the usb c, I watch mainly content on it(currently use 14pro-max). And I am near sighted and with the myopia adjustment, everything is crisp and bright. Much better then the ray Neo at glasses(which I return for these). I literally use this to play games whenever I can when I’m out and about. Worth it for me imo.
This is exactly what i needed to hear everyone tells you what they where told to say i unfortunately have a big head so i was already worried about them fitting me since finding a good fitting set of normal sun glasses is already hard
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and commenting! Unfortunately these glasses are not one size fits all. I hope they come with more adjustability in future releases to appeal to a bigger audience. Cool concept but if it's not comfortable to wear, it's not worth it. Have a great day! :)
You should really try the 1.5 height 3d printed nose piece. It fixes a lot of the problems you’re having. Gets your eyes closer to the screens so light leak less, better edge clarity, focus seems a lot better, and just all around amazing. All of the nose pieces did not work for me, so I agree with some of your complaints. I mostly use with ROG ally x.
Thanks! Where do you find/buy the 1.5 height 3d printed nose piece? I already returned the glasses but thought it'll help others here who's looking for a solution. I hope the next viture glasses model will integrate this nose piece and/or more adjustments.
Finally! An honest review! There are so manybsponsored rave reviews but they all lie. This video actually shows the downsides, and they are significant! Also the eye strain is ridiculous.
Thx for the honest review. I was on the fence about these, but the cons you mentioned: I have a large head, haha, so comfort of the glasses is priority 1. Secondly, the heat coming from one side of the glasses would be annoying due to the fact that it would also take away from the overall comfort of wearing them. I hope the next revision can address those issues so I can purchase them.
I got the original with the kickstarter and was super disappointed that using the prescription insert blocks some of the image at the top and bottom, because the height of the lens frame is too short. This was a dealbreaker for me. They’ve gathered dust ever since. Damn shame, since I really wanted to like them. Caveat emptor.
Sorry to hear that man. I really want to like this also. It did perform well in many aspects but comfort, fit, clarity is going to be a dealbreaker for many. Doesn't matter how good it is if I can't wear it comfortably for a decent amount of time. I do hope they'll improve on upcoming versions with more adjustability.
If you want to work on windows, I highly do not recommend xreal. The nebula app is horrible. Completely unstable & download provided on reddit??? Can't recommend it
Hi! For me, not clearly. They have diopter adjustments but depending on your own personal eyes, it May or may not be compatible for you to see text clearly. You might have to test it out with its return policy to find out.
I've had these a while and every issue you seem to have, I do not have those issues. Use case varies I'm sure, but just for others out there. The only issue i agree with is the heat on the right side, but it's forward of where it connects to your head so it's almost unnoticeable.
Good review. Many of your negatives are also found in other glasses. The software, Spacewalker, sucks. I would like to see a larger screen and 4k resolution. I tried the Xreal Air 2 pro and found the blurry edges unacceptable, though their software is better. This category of product is not a VR replacement. The idea is to provide a portable monitor that has some VR, XR, and AR features. For what they are designed for, they are very good. Play games, watch videos, and get so.e work done. Is it great for all these features, no. Is it ok, yes. Remember they don't cost $3,500. For the price they are good value.
