Just a note, the atomizing screen in this 3rd generation has been replaced with an atomizing mesh which has a much longer service life (6000-8000hrs as opposed to 2000hrs) The mesh is built into the burner tube which means you'll have to replace the burner tube during your service stop.
Definitely a go for me. Going to put in my order and give this install a shot on my new van build. Thanks for the heads up. Will be looking at the gasoline version. Hopefully you have a transit kit available
Hi, yes we offer the gas version and Transit kits if that's what you're looking for. LINK: vanlandstore.com/products/espar-as3-b2l-air-heater-transit-kit-included
Do you guys have a way to tie in the Espar remote to this unit? Would love to fire up the heater from the house so the van's a little warmer before bringing the toddler out when it's super cold out
quick question - if I have an older generation 1 version of the D2 - can I re-use any of the existing wiring / harness or will everything be different? I know the fuel pump is different and the harness has extra wires - but what about the main D2 blower - will the new S3 plug into the existing harness? Also - is the form-factor of the S3 the same as the S1 - so the existing duct work, intake / exhaust be a simple swap?
Have you tested the gas version? I've read some early reports that people are having trouble with the gas version and it's suspected that's because of the ethanol in US gas. I'm hoping that's not the case since these sound like great units.
Great video! I’m planning on placing an order for the diesel version. Curious if this comes with the auxiliary t-tap to plug into the Sprinter diesel fuel tank. Also hope you still have some of those sweet beanies ☺️

I LOVE my Espar D2.
Installed it in my Sprinter in 2020 by myself as a first time user.
Thanks for letting us know about these improvements.
Great to hear!

Yes, there is a remote option. You need line of site to the vehicle for it to work.

Haven't testing the gas version yet.
@johnsfox123 Where did you here that? I'd be interested in knowing more about any issues.
