I will have to check this project out.
It is indeed nice to see actual steel armor on such a project, even if off the shelf
As a 14th century enthusiast I find it hard not to love the Brenntonians. They are great.
Fun fact: commenting for zee lady will help defeat ze chaos forces of ze algorithm! Sacre bleu!
Hi, I loved the review. What about Knight's chest armour? What did they wear at late 13th century? I suppose they had some sort of coat of plates. Logic tells me that the person would protect his torso because of all the vital organs there.
There's a lot going on in this transitional period of armour, and unfortunately a lot is hidden by the surcoat. By the end of the 13th its likely some knights are wearing early Coats of plates, but exact construction methods are unclear.
Have you considered looking into the topic of mounted crossbowmen? I have not seen this topic frequently discussed but they were quite formidable in wedge-column formations in which cavalry fought (at least in Poland during the Angevin and first Jagiellonians time). In each lance fournie in which the knight-lancer had at least a few retainers/henchmen whom majority(becouse they could also serve as a lancer) served as horse/mounted crossbowmen.
Always like a good harness review! Looks pretty good to me, though the "spauldrons" look a bit restrictive.
Interesting video Zac, I will check out Chaos Rising. Please do more of these 👍😊
I love this kind of videos, I always learn some cool stuff!
Can you please do more of these? I enjoyed this video very much. As a suggestion: have you already done something about Berserk (the animé)? Particularly the armour used in the beginning. This seems to be pretty good.
