Same! When I was a kid and didn't know how to tie my shoes, my dad would do it for me and watching him tie them would give me hella tingles. Of course back then I didn't know what it was and I don't even think ASMR was really being studied, I just knew it felt good. Sometimes I'd purposely untie my shoes just so he'd have to tie them again lol. In highschool I used to watch my teachers as they'd do paperwork or grade our homework or something and that used to give me tingles also. Watching someone focus on doing something gets me every time.
The biggest difference between you 2, and other artist in my opinion..... Even if you are doing something absolutely ridiculous (like putting things between his toes), you do it with intention. You don't just stick it there..... In your mind, you are doing it for a purpose. The intention in your actions shows and it definitely sets you apart!!!
Two things triggered me when I was a child - foot measuring and watching my teachers write. The foot measuring with tape measures and a Brannock device in a shoe shop gave me the most intense ASMR I've ever had. It's something that I've not felt for decades and have only just found out that it has a name. Mild ASMR for me from this video - which I thank you for - but how I wish I could trigger those childhood feelings again! Nothing I've seen on RUclips really works. I think I need the personal, real-life experience.

Personal headcanon as to what this is all about... Male has extremely high-end custom orthotics. Female is giving them a "tune up" by making sure Male's feet haven't changed since the original assessment, checking the fit of the orthotic to make sure it's still fitting perfectly, etc. Makes this make a lot more sense lol!
