Anybody else miss the medieval knight style armor? I think Elden Ring’s looks a little off. Waists not tapered right, helmets in funny shapes, not as historical as it used to be.

So coming here from ds3 and I can instantly tell that the armor sets in ds3 are pretty bland compared to ds2 IMO

All ds3 medium armor looks like a reskin of the elite knight armor
-closed helmet
-a chestpiece with a scarf and one oversized shoulder
-half of the leggings covered with some random cloth
Ds3 is just Ds1 fanservice simulator but completely gray
And now compare to Elden Ring and the blandness reaches a new level.

DS2 armor sets are immaculate compared to DS3's.
Eh, I still love some of the DS3's armor sets. But I agree, DS2 had possibly the best fashion sense out of all the Dark Souls games.

For the female variant, the ivory armor/gauntlets + Agdayne's kilt + any helm of your choice= anime dress armor. The fashion is fittingly fabulous.
I haven't played dark souls 2 but damn is the armor better than 3

I think DS 2 has better armor, but DS 3 is newer and doesn't have dlc nor had the time to expand and improve unlike DS 2 which had dlc + Scholar of the first sin edition... So I wouldn't say DS 3 armor is worse until they get to that point ;)

My favourite set is the Faraam Armor Set, I use it in ds2 and ds3 as well with an Astora Greatsword.

Four years after initially watching this and I’m only now noticing that Havels armor has a similar design to the steel armor. I am really friggen stupid.

I like combining the thief mask(full head piece), leydia black robe, drangleic gaunlets and imperius leggings together.
I also like the hollow soldier torso armor and the alonne captain torso piece.
a lot of the armor in ds2 looks better while you're hollowed honestly. it just fits way better. it's the reason i just sometimes refuse to use human effigies.
These armor sets are so much better than DS 3...

I use Sunken King crown+Throne Watcher Armor+ Throne Watcher Gauntlet+ Agadynne Kilt for Warrior Queen fashion.
Very nice to include Skeletor.
Drakeblood set with a Dragonrider helm = Drakeblood Dragonrider. Then trade off the dual blade for the red rust dual blade = game defeated.

Of all the armor sets, the full Loyce Knight set and the Armor of the Ivory King is no joke to get. Hours of farming for 50 Loyce souls is seriously a hassle.
The easiest way to farm is to NOT beat the Ivory King and instead use his boss fight to farm, then homeward/feather out when Ivory King himself comes. It's also kind of fun since you have an army at your back that does half the work for you.

+Jarlork Dol yes, you maybe seen heide soldiers around heide's tower same location you go against the dragonrider for the first time. (Atleast if you take the pirate's cave location). But there are 2 versions of the helmet 1 is normal dropped by them other full helm which can be found by glutton you know deep down below at underground hell hole.

+Jarlork Dol the elite armor set is nice set which can be used for a long time in the game but strongest heavy armor set is the 1 dropped by giants in the same area as heide knights which is completely free. Stil it's strong set worth getting and it's main front page set for dark souls 1 which is kinda cool :D

After days of farming for sunlight medals, I've come to hate the Falconer set.
the beginning of the game has the easiest mobs to grind with. Instead of the posion swamp area.

i Would say the lion set seeing as it increase casting and you do need faster casting with your slow heals :P

I hate DS2 as a game especially for how it plays as part of the soulsborne franchise but I do have to admit out of all the games DS2 had the best collection of armors as a whole, I will admit that.

What are your favorite armor sets? Mine is the Drakeblood armor. Just ran into it today during co-op and it's bitchin'.
And it's a bitch to get. There are only 4 Drakekeepers to farm. I go into NG+ missing the chest piece.
The Heide Knight armor. It looks freakin awesome but it's hard to loot.

Executioner's Set on a female avatar; Armor of Auros(Invisible) on a male avatar.
You can get it in SOFTS but you need many bonfire ascetics. I'd recommend farming the set in Heide's Tower of flame. I farmed it there because there are less enemies and you can farm one human effigy there. If you use rusted coins then you'll boost the chance of getting their weapon. That's how you can get a second heide sword/spear/lance.
If anyone has all of these armor sets, and plays xbox, please let me know. I'm trying to get all of this, but have been finding it difficult even with items that increase drop rate chance. Especially the DLC enemies that drop armor.
