Hey I've been revisiting the randomizer mod on and off since it came out, it's extended my game time in the game to like 140 hours now because I love just doing randomizer runs, the first knife actually isn't scripted, you managed to get it in the right spot randomly haha. I love getting the knife early just to see if I can snag some extra ammo through that shutter before I go meet the half-man.
@@Yoshizawa-san Oh yeah gas station key is forced since it's the only item in that area, I think everything in the rest of the game is randomized though!
@@DomEReapeRDepending on the randomiser quality there might be 'pools'. As in... the items you need to progress are guaranteed to spawn in the area you're in (or earlier)
I think a game like Resident Evil combined with a randomizer mod and a use what you see challenge would be amazing. You can get the most OP weapon at the start, or get a health item and have to use it right away, regardless of your current health.
I like the idea of use what you see added. I feel like the problem with a randomizer is it more likely to completely busts your balls or its ridiculously easy and use what you see would at least help with it being too easy.

Played RE2 remake a lot but never played or watched anyone play the randomiser. Very entertaining watching you play and react to it. I really like your chill vibe and commentary. I was completely baffled with the Chess piece puzzle because you picked up the naturally spawned chess pieces and they changed into different items! I also noticed someone in the chat mentioning this and that it can potentially cause a soft lock so I thought that was pretty neat
To be honest, I would love it if Capcom had a “blind mode” in RE games that randomizes items and zombie spawns with every new game so that the survival horror experience can feel more prevalent when you don’t know where everything is
I found this channel yesterday and i've been loving the REmake challenge runs! i'm too much of a bitch to play RE games but i really love watching the REmakes, the third person camera placement with the character model and animations are super nice imo, love the guns and all the varying reticles too! also re7/8 runs are awesome
I know this vid is older and i have no idea if you will see this, but trance, if you want to do re1 rando, you need to set "MANY" on all boss types, and rando everything. It is so fucking chaotic. Sometimes you can have the main shark room filled with tyrants.
This was a ton of fun to watch. Would love to see more of this. A re3r item rando would be cool, the game is short enough to were it would be over stay it's welcome. Keep up the fantastic work my friend.

From what Bawkbasoup says about RE1 remake rando vs RE2 remake rando, he prefers the first. Reason is because the 2nd remake rando has all key items everywhere so you have to collect everything, where as in RE1 remake, once you have enough to make it to the next area then you don't need to worry about collecting every item. Reason why RE2 remake rando isn't so popular is because the game starts in the police station, goes to the sewers, back to the police station, back into the sewers to get into the lab, then finish. As you can see, the police station can have key items for the sewer since it is also marked as the third place you should be.
Would it really be that difficult to code that RPD 3 (the 3 items you usually unlock with hiding place) is its separate category? I assume the rest of the randomizer is sophisticated enough to never leave you stranded by having e.g. the maiden medallion spawn in the sewers.
Very well played, i kept wanting to know what all the items would be and why you didn't use the map more to see where items were being missed like if there were multiple chainguns, but that was solid mate

Damn, I wished it would randomize all the effects/bullets/consumables of every weapon/item, for example knive does 40mm shock round dmg while shotgun shoots green herb, rpg becomes 9mm while healing spray just burst you in flames.
its the best way to play it cause you have to remember where every item is because key items can be anywhere and you dont know what your going to get should make it for res 3 remake cause that game needs it
Randomized is the only way I replay this game. The best part of the for me is trying to figure out where to go and what to do while Mr. X is hunting you, so I always go in B scenario, trigger him as soon as possible and try to escape the rpd. After that the game is just back to boring again. B scenario is also more challenging because most of the ammo is for the extra handgun which you probably won't get

They should make a re game where if you kill a zombie cop it drops ammo and if it’s heavily armored it drops higher grade ammo and if it’s a normal zombie it will drop herbs or money
I tried doing this mod right now, and i was going absolutely insane, then i was in the sever section and decited to go back up and get the thing in mr x area, cuz i saved it for last. So i go to the ladder, where you go down and get put in a cutscene andddddd the game enters and infinite loading screen. And i got pissed cuz i lost like 2 hours of progress.

I’m a console user; but if there’s one thing I’d want to do with game mods is NOT graphic improvements. It’s randomizers & things that affect gameplay >:3
I would take it slow and familiarise yourself with the map. When aiming, also wait for the crosshair to close as it will be more accurate and do more damage
For some reason when i got to the train and put the joint fuse in it went black screen and said loading so i have no idea what has happened in my playthru
I'm sad i missed the Randomizer. I was too late. I tried it recently, but it crashes so much for me. It was awesome the little i got to experience, however i do not have the patience for that much crashing. :(
why does everyone that post Randomizer videos don't share were they got the Randomizer. nexus mods does not have it and if i google it i get Randomizer that do not work or they are a virus.

The RE1 Remake is such a brilliant game. Definitely top three in the RE series for me. I definitely would want to see you do a random item run of it.

If you did not pick up the Grenade Launcher / Shotgun before going to the lab, the spawn is scripted.
