Thanks Zach, this time I tried to shorten the video length, but it ended up being long again anyway. 😀 I'm learning alot doing this. Thanks for watching.

After adding lead on the door's edge, couldn't you have used a compass to mark an even 3mm gap from top to bottom. Then just file to the guide line made with the compass.

Shim the doors a pinch or a smidgen...lets be specific ;)

Ha ha, smidgen sounds better. If I remember right I made my own shims. Maybe 22 Ga

Great work as always. Are you worried about lead separation from the steel on a moving panel like a door, especially with the buildup along the edges? Lead was used on the early Camaros on the rear quarter sail panel to roof skin, but nowhere else.

Anything could go wrong I suppose. There isn't any lead on the hemmed edges, only in the "z" channel at the door edge. Porsche did this some on the 911 and a lot on the 356. Its better than Bondo in these high stress areas.

Another great vid! I like that lead is what the factory used. Have you mulled over a product like USC all metal instead of welding? Used by some porsche resto shops. Thoughts? Re lead: how about Eastwoods leading kit (lead free) - any thoughts on that? Finally, why weld vs lead?

Filler is filler in my opinion. Lead is best in corners and high build areas like the factory did. All metal is good as long as it's used correctly. I've used lead free before and it's a bit trickier to manipulate and it's requires more heat. It's a good product though.
