Interesting concept. Most people focus on training the technical side of Petanque and forget about the tactics and decision making. Good job as always !!

I believe Dylan did not want to point his boule on the side... shooting would make no sense for me. even with carreau, the opponents could move the jack to the back and score 3, or even four, if the shot boule would not come off the playground. i would try to point towards the jack and hopefully i would be holding a point or blocking the way, for the last boule.
If Dylan make the carreau, have two points on the ground, I don’t think the opponents would try to move the jack, it’s to hard, only get them 3 points but if you miss, -2 and the score would be 5-11.. It’s a hard choice… but pointing would be the best 🙏
@@PetanquebyRickard well, they dared to move the jack and they did it at the end. we could not get into the heads of players, surely it would be risky to leave 2 points there for Dylan´s team, but what they could lose actually? they were down by 4 points and they could score 3-4 to tight the game. the terrain did not look to be too difficult for trying to move the jack.
