Douglas Hodge is just a brilliant performer, especially in his rendition of Willy Wonka in the West End version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical. I can't wait to see the Broadway production this Spring.
Well deserved and so gracious... A truly talented individual up there. When he sings in the role, I get chills. I did from the moment he opened his mouth when I happened upon a ticket to the show three weeks ago... What a treat that it also happened to be a Tony winning performance. Believe me, it was.
I discovered this actor from The Great on Hulu. He is brilliant even in just a supporting role. I’m learning more about him and am just blown away at how accomplished he is!
awesome! douglas hodge is the best Alba i have seen when the show was on in the uk, it was great popping back stage in london after seeing the show a good few times, he is perfect playing this role
Big big fan if Douglas Hodge so much that I’ve seen him on West End stage few times. Wonder why his acting career seems to have stopped even on tv. I hope he’s doing some stage directing though as he’s also brilliant at that. Plus he’s also a musician and writer. So many talents this guy has and it’ll be a pity if he stops now. I would like a revival of La Cage Aux Foilles with him perhaps directing it this time.
He is incredible! Loved his gracious speech and his AMAZING performance as Albin!

Gosh he's so charming, and was an incredible as willy wonka on the west end when I saw him
He’s adorable!
Yaaaay!
Nathan, that's how the part is done. The guy you gave the award to. That's how it is done.
Wouldn't it be funny if Kelsey won. Look who would have presented it to him. Fraiser and Lilith together again!!
At :52 do you think Nathan Lane is thinking, "Yeah, I played you in the movie."
1:13 Mrs. C!
Wow, Del Boy's son Damian really has come a long way lol
Is this a foreshadowing? Nathan Lane presenting and then later doing The Bird Cage (which is based on La Cage).
I know one of the presenters is Nathan Lane, but who was the other one?
YourFaceWillDie468 Bebe Neworth. She played Velma in the revival of Chicago and Kelsey Grammer's wife on both Fraiser and Cheers.
Chad kimball!!!
Eh,. why did they play the American Idiot-theme after his speech?
@YourFaceWillDie468 Bebe Neurith
am i the only one who didnt see Nathan Lane seething with envy that night?,,,,he just didnt seem "happy to be there"
Maybe he's pissed that straight actors keep getting cast as gay men.
He was also passed over for a nomination for The Addams Family that year.
