Fun Fact: The Krämerbrücke is one of the few remaining medieval-era bridges in the WORLD to have inhabited dwellings! (We thought this was pretty neat...)

This video was the cutest freaking thing. WHY ARE YOU GUYS SO ADORABLE! I went to Erfurt in March and my favourite part was those German cartoon character statues, like that depressed loaf of bread! Lisa probably knows who I'm talking about? I think his name is Bernd? Anyways great video guys!

2:35 If i judge it correctly you got your "Thüringer Bratwurst" at the Bridge of Schlösserstraße crossing Junkersand. Good choice. Also for visitors of Erfurt and those who wanna eat the "Thüringer Bratwurst" don't eat those cheap ones at the Erfurter Dom place. They are a rip off for tourists and have shortcomings in taste with lesser ingredients and just more salt to get a higher winning margin. At least for "natives" they tast horrible, if you have eaten more than just this one in your life.
You're exactly right! Pretty spot to have a snack with the water right there, too. Yeah we generally try to eat at the places that aren't so obviously touristy - sometimes that's unfortunately easier said than done. Thanks for the tip for staying away from the ones at the Domplatz!

Thanks, Mark! We had a blast in Erfurt. We didn't shoot a video because the weather was terrible but we just got back from Heidelberg and really, really liked it. The old town was gorgeous. Definitely consider a stop if you're still planning your trip and/or haven't been yet!

It's the St. Aegidien Church Tower at the east end of the Krämerbrücke. It was free years ago but recent reviews have said they ask for a "donation" of 2 or 4 Euro - which you have to pay... so it seems like it's an entry fee. In either case, the views are worth it in our opinion :)

Don't get the Erfurt travel card for 21 90Eu. It is a rip off...still have too pay at most destinations!
