    Came here from your reddit post, really nice to see your workflow, and it turned out to be a really nice track^^
    Later versions of FL studio allow you to display the key on the piano roll without having to do that midi trick by the way, super useful! (Also using the basic chords for ambient clusters is loads of fun too, even if you don't know music theory!)

    I enjoyed this video. The soundfonts made me nostalgic, as I used to use them heavily before realizing VSTs exist😂. I'm not the biggest fan of the track in terms of harmony and arrangement but you made some interesting points about composition. I think this is quite a contrast to the "classical" practice of creating dungeon synth, as you come from the more mechanical and computerized background of EDM.. although, i might be mistaken, its just been my impression that dungeon synth is normally recorded live, less scrupulous and with much more improvisation. Cheers

      I think that's correct. My approach leads to some much more epic and progressive compositions because that's what EDM is good at. As opposed to the very ambient compositions and improvisations of most DS.
