"Hello, we've been trying to reach you about your vehicle's extended warranty."
I-
I was rather thinking along the lines of "no tresspassing" :D
Spaceships extended warranty
Lol
GOD DAMN IT FIRST A MESAGE I A BOTTLE NOW THIS. LEAVE ME ALONE
"Son, you better explain..."...The alien is undoubtedly much older & smarter than General Discord & hardly warrants being called "son".
General Discord 😭🤣🤣
That’s how they act, no matter where they are, they are always assuming that they’re the boss.
It also reminds me of Wolverine, he’s like 200+ years old and so many others call him boy. I always laugh, but I never know why he just doesn’t set them strait.
@@jackdurden466 Same. I guess that Wolverine just doesn't care.
It could be considered an attempt at comforting him, or remaining cautious. For all we know he could have crash landed yesterday and is part of a larger extermination fleet and is just feeding us a sob story you bought; hook line and sinker.
@@Kingdeathtrooper That is my gut feeling. A superior race meant to wipe out the lesser species only for this advanced being to crash and remain stranded for so long. So long that life on Earth evolves to the point that the lesser beings are now able to do space exploration to a point and run into the executioner.
Man, if this was real I think the internet would pressure his rescue.
Or a nuke bomb test since advance Aliens might eat, kill or sell pet rocks
Nah, govs keep a lot of secrets you have no idea off, not saying this is real, but we wouldnt know about this FOR SURE
"They" Won't let the internet know in the first place..
"I study dead languages... ya know greek"
*all of Greece gets Thanosed*
As a Greek I should say that the ancient Greek language is not the same as Greek.
@@TheKypps Fair enough, just wish they would've said ancient Greek or something.
@@Firebringer121 that would be mycenaean greece.
Latin is also called dead, but letters remained. I studied theology for a while, so ancient greek is in my opinion very different, than modern not only in way that creates sentences, but also words have different meanings than nowdays. For example in latin: In vino veritas - can be translated as Truth is in wine, but... veritas except truth also means rectiture, certainity, frankness and reality...
Yeah its legitimacy is quashed when he said he was an academic that studys greek and latin and also cunniform as if theyre in the same field...
And the worst part was he never learned to decipher the language he was shown
I thought the worst part was the whole poorly written story
judging on the story, it most likely said help or something
It became irrelevant when a highly complex translating machine was shown to be possible and available; despite being the title, the language part wasn't the focus of the story...
@@Kingdeathtrooper The alien said “to spread our species’ culture”. I figured maybe that could have been the linguists’ next job or something.
Nor did he learn why, despite being a Top Man in his field, his old college "friend" contacted a bunch of others before contacting him.
Also, where was the attractive grad student chick who ends up helping him decipher the language??
Just to be clear, being a linguist doesn’t mean you study “languages,” but rather “language” itself.
Certainly, a person focused on historical linguistics will speak/read a few, but if his focus is really on the translation of Latin, Greek, and “Cuneiform” (which is not a language, but a writing system), I’d go with classicist or philologist. Just a nitpick.
Linguist has two definitions: Someone who knows a lot of languages, and someone who studies Linguistics; which is as you say, the study of language itself. Cuneiform is a writing system, but linguists study writing systems as much as they study the spoke word. Most linguists will have a brief understanding of some languages, and writing systems and focus on a few in great detail, while others will focus on languages and rhythms as a whole.
There are over 6,500 languages, just because someone focuses on a set few, doesn't make them 'not a linguist'. Just a knitpick.
Linguist can me an interpreter or translator as well. The real issue here is the cuneiform thing even then most linguists focus on living languages so a classicist would still probably be a better choice.
Jeremy, being fat is awful, I've done it twice. Set yourself free.
emphasis on the nitpick part which is how you actually spell that word btw
@@schnoz2372 lmao you’re so right
That was a sad creepypasta but still very good
Maybe they have a part 2 to it
More of a feelspasta
Sadgepasta
Uh rick rolled on accident
The loneliest alien finally establishing contact with humans is pretty darn hopeful.
At first glance, I thought it said "I study ancient sausages"
😂😂😂
Mammothwurst was way better than Angel wings and pork that was aged for 3000 years, Bender was robbed of 1st place.
😂😂😂🤦🤦🤦
Lol that in and of itself would hilariously interesting , especially if the author started the story with the same premise of an alien encounter 👽🦴 😁😂🤣😂
lmao
Could we have a part 2 that explains the symbols and background of the stranger?? 🙏🏼
I second this!!! Please?!
I agree
symbols were probs an SOS signal
Absolutely, there are so many ways this could go. It starts oddly similar to Superman’s story, sent away before the planet exploded, to find another in order to perpetuate the species. Or Kryptonians if you prefer.
Yes. Could do with a sequel.
Would the military just leave the alien there, due to potential danger to Earth?
Would they organise a crewed mission to bring the alien back and grab any technology?
Would the alien turn out to be planning to conquer the Earth and contact his mates?
The first few minutes I was convinced this was the script for Arrival
more like Stargate
I thought it was a movie script as well...
I would love to know how they got real time communication at a distance the would take light a few minutes.
Simple, the author doesn't understand physics.
@@JCavinee LOL true
@@JCavinee Nor linguistics...
Yup, brilliant folks writing this schlock😂🤣💯
They have a time machine so they can hear the question in the future then go back in time and answer it and if the timing is right it sounds like it's instant back-and-forth communication.
That’s very sweet, no evil just good storytelling
nicely read and such, with huge plot holes.
It sucks that such amazing stories like this never get a part 2 at times
is Part 2 where they explain how the 'intercom' is able to have less than a second of latency even tho Venus is about 10 minites away at light speed?
@@danchisholm1 link?
I don't say this about many creepy pasta but this HAS to have a part 2. I had goosebumps the entire time.
protag talking to themself: a planet I dont recognize, I dont know anything about astronomy
protag a few mins later to themself: I recall specific obscure facts about venus
Anyone who paid attention in earth science In high school should know a tad bit about every planet in our solar system

I agree, much easier on the mind to remember its a story.

I prefer it if they didn't announce it was just a story. Gives me something to ponder about.
Yeah? Well, I got a call about something on Uranus.
It's Klingons.

Within the first thirty seconds…
“I’m a Linguist” (What’s a linguist? 😱)
“I study languages…”
“… (Such as) Cuneiform”
😑
Yeah…agreed. Shitty writer, shitty story😂
... As opposed to languages written in Cuneiform (Sumerian, Akkadian). It's like saying one of the languages he studies is Kanji or Cyrillic.
I thought this was going to be the cunning linguist / master debater joke.
Why does a rover sent to a lifeless planet have a speaker?
Not to mention, any conventional speaker (or microphone for that matter) would be a major structural weakpoint.
The most amazing technology is the ability to broadcast to the rover without signal lag.
Not to mention that it would take like 20 minutes for radio waves to travel between the planets. Impossible to have a conversation. But whatever it’s sci-fi.
Heck, a camera would be a major structural weak point.
@@akl2k7 Any instrumentation would be a weakpoint, it's jsut a amtter of whether or not it's justifiable.
Camera, sure. Every probe ever got a camera stuck onto it.
Microphone, hell, that's probably justifiable seeing as how one just landed on Mars, although it'd probably be technically challenging to implement.
But a loudspeaker?
Beyond being incredibly difficult to implement - any kind of noise producing diaphragm would probably just instantly melt, and vibrating the probe's skin is probably more energy intensive than is feasible - what would you even use one for?
I'm even more interested in the fact that it didn't melt near instantly.

Lol does anyone else recognize what the alien is saying in his native tongue lolol. I didnt look it up to verify but it sounds exactly like what an ewok says to either Luke or Han in star wars when they're in the forest and make contact. I swear thats the same sentence the ewok said.
Seriously?
"Klatuu barada nikto?"
It sounds so familiar.
Oh My God! He was a hairless Ewok!

PLEASE, WE NEED A PART 2!!!!
No, and no.
Man, I had so many Issues with how this was written, but the worst one was, "Hopefully I've taken the necessary Precautions..." Expert in a specific Field acquainted with one of the People on the Team. They wouldn't have a difficult Time at all finding out who the Author is.
However posting it as a creepypasta could be the precaution as who the fuck believes creepypastas.
Around 5:14 I love the background music, it’s different from the average creepy music and adds something new, pls keep doing that!!
This would be a gr8 movie!! Always love your narrative.
He was clearly saying "Gorak, send the Togepi". He was challenging the team to a pokemon battle.
I really hope this is gonna be a series
Part 5 please ! Yes also part 2 , 3, 4 .....
Thank you
Dude's better off being stranded on Venus, the US government is just gonna turn it into a test subject on Earth lmfao💀
Really good story. New twist on an old theme. Interesting!
I'm no expert on acid rain and atmospheric pressure but if the alien's body is adapted to those conditions it doesn't seem like they could easily survive on earth. Which is super tragic
I was waiting for them to ask him if he had any of the serum left
Even though a lot of aspects of this story do sound familiar and are familiar it's still pretty interesting and I would love to hear more if the author has more or would be willing to maybe continue this particular story it certainly has a pretty good setup for a long-running series
Especially if the being's intentions are more nefarious than they let on initially , which could potentially open a door in the story for a race that opposes the spreading of the first non terrestrial species culture through out the universe . Unfortunately some cultures on earth are hostile towards all other cultures that do not share in their religious beliefs . So the potential question is whether or not something similar is taking place on other planets . That serum sounds like the super soldier formula from Captain America to me . So yes this story could go many ways .
i love the idea that the writers of these stories have taken "precautions" to protect themselves from the government after signing and then going against a NDA , do these precautions include completely removing yourself from every computer network, physical or digital storage and insuring that you are never seen by a camera ever again. seriously there are no precautions that will stop the military finding this guy, he all but told us who he is, he stated he is a leading linguist in his country (narrows the field down hugely), he told us his friend invited him (narrows it down to just the people who were invited), he told us he went to school with the guy who invited him (narrows it down to him and only him). conclusion: they know who you are, they made it clear if you told anyone you would disappear, you told the world.... you may as well shoot yourself right now its faster you are dead there's no maybe you are simply a dead man
Great little story! I don't know who the author is, but I'd buy that book. really cool
Man that drifted onto weak sauce ave.
Your the best for bedtime stories
You're

There are so many words & phrases we have no translation for, mostly in Latin and Sandskrit. Imagine what hidden truths are buried right before our eyes.
Seems instant communication over vast distances is a problem solved? Venus at its closest point to Earth is still around 2 minutes away at lightspeed. I wouldn't recommend the author of this tale for highly classified info :)
I was also thinking of that
Light does not travel fast enough from venus to earth to allow instantaneous communication
Quickly doing the math, it takes 723 seconds for light to travel between the earth and venus
Thought is instantaneous, for it doesn't exist in what you call "space-time" (which has no ultimate reality).
Another great video from creeps, love your channel so much that it inspired me to start making creepypastas also. I still watch your videos every day, please never stop creeps
Very good story. I would like a sequel
i really enjoyed this one as it isn't super far fetched but not about some fictional creature that's sole purpose is to terrify, like i actually want the man of venus to be real
I normally don’t like the alien creepypastas, but this one was BOMB 💣
"Why don't you gentlemen have a Pepsi?"

He missed his shot, his biology won’t be tuned for Earth now.
The story should of been called "my friend". Drives me nuts when every story makes it.
Would love to hear more with this story. Very interesting
part 2 yes!! continue the story!!
good one thanks
Wow. This was a good story. It really was. Good job!
I have a feeling aliens would mess with us and make funny pictures that mean actually nothing. That's also my theory about the zodiac killer. Gave them something to do to distract them from actually finding him.
Yeah I’d love a part 2 as well.
The most unrealistic part of this story? The fact that transmissions to and from Venus are portrayed as instantaneous and not the just under five and a half minutes it would take in reality.
Creeps you have been so consistent and quality for so long thank you for always being an amazing storyteller.
Ireally hope you readers are suitably rewarded for these underrecognized service for all. You rock!
That got super sad really quick.
Nice story, wish there was a second part... But with military and a stranded alien with no contact home.... It can only end bad...
It is awesome to learn the ancient language
Hello Kevin
a rather realistic discussion on trying to translate an alien language with no touch stones to our languages
i would enjoy more stories on this premise
One of the best stories honestly 👏
This makes me sad, I hope they make a part 2.
Ok, that was a great and short intro to a possibility very great series. There are many listeners who feel the same. We demand it! 👍
It's called stargate and Daniel Jackson would have solved the language in 10 minutes flat. After Carter fixed the telemetry, of course.
Different, and I LOVE DIFFERENT! not like all of the other space stories! good job!!
This was an excellent story!!
Wow!! Great story always leaves you wanting more I just wish it was longer or maybe there'll be a part 2 👏pretty please
Stories like this that are so close to being plausible always make me wonder if the government dumps secrets into creepypastas to bury them so noone questions if its true lol.
You never know
That’s very likely the case. Look up disinformation campaigns
You need to analyze this story better. Sending a metal to another planet to be tested when we already have great simulation methods for me is the most unrealistic part of this story.
This story is so sad, ty for sharing
Such an amazing story. Reallllllllly want a part 2
*Local Astronomers Discover Pillar Men On Venus:* Experts Suggest Cloning Joseph Joestar As An Insurance Strategy.
Please!! Tell me there's a pt. 2!! I'd love to hear more about this alien!! And if we ever try to help him out!!
Sure the military machine would get all the info they could while leading him to believe we where trying when in fact not so much.although they would want his craft if possible.
Remains unnamed, singles himself out in a highly and notable specific instance anyway.
"You must never tell another living soul"

This would be a good series too many ways it could go
Super sad but still a thought provoking and interesting one nonetheless
Wow that was a great story hope it gets a 2nd part

Plot twist those symbols were a message saying this a prison for this specific thing
the minimum communication delay to venus is 5 minutes
Well, *actually* it is impossible to get live communication from another planet, even from the Moon it would take several minutes to an image to load properly
this is a story, where aliens exist and are talking to them. i feel as though their technology is far more advanced in this version of earth than ours
