Let me ask. The 30% does it mean you measure in kgs? For example if am feeding 100kgs this means I feed 70kgs of commercial feeds and 30kgs of fodder?

Yes it will affect negatively if you feed lots of fodder than recommended ratio or any other protein feed.
More egg laying consistency if you abide by the ratios
Decline in egg production if you do not introduce the fodder to the chicken gradually

1kg of barley/wheat seeds yields 2kgs of 4-day old hydroponic fodder. You will need 15kgs of seed
What would be the ratio for growing chicks both exotic and indigenous in both starter grower phases
Please note that chicks are fed ad libitum until they attain 8weeks. The fodder is introduced to them as soon as they clock 8 weeks

We would suggest adding maize germ to the wheat bran. You may try the combination and see how it goes
Do you consider Improved Kienyeji Chicken as local or exotic? What percentage could I give them?
They are classified under local breeds. 50%-50% ratio would be best

The poultry should be fed daily with carbohydrates and proteins to assure consistent egg production. The fodder is the protein.

Carbohydrates are the milled flour such as maize germ, wheat bran etc
If I had BSF maggots, how does that fit into the ratio you explained for broilers? So basically, how much BSF versus fodder and commercial feed?
Please note that you need to know the crude protein of Black Soldier Fly maggots. We have not used BSF before and therefore unable to advise at the moment on the ratios needed. Thanks
I hear BSF and earthworms can work well. Can they be used instead of commercial feeds??
We have not tried them yet to ascertain whether they can replace commercial feeds.

Nice video. Maybe I missed this but why can't you exclusively feed hydroponic fodder to broilers or layers?
From a layman's point of view: the layers will get too fat and rupture their behinds while laying which encourages cannibalism. The broilers will not achieve any meaningful weight after 42days of feeding.
