Man. I was watching this thinking it was from 2 weeks ago. Then I thought everyone was looking very well. Then I wondered how I’d missed these backwards steps around Brexit and why they were talking about David Cameron. Then I realised.
I was born in 1990 and have lived my whole life in the US Midwest. The Right has been getting more and more extreme in my lifetime. But I think for those of us in the US, there is the "frog boiling in a pot" effect: it's harder to recognize it when you're in the middle of it. Especially when you have propaganda channels masquerading as news sources and legitimizing awful, bigoted agendas.
