I wondered about that. That was the first baseball game I ever watched with interest. And his HR in that game. Tommie Agee was my favorite Met after that.
#2: Dave Johnson flies to Cleon Jones to give the Mets their first World Championship #3: Dave Johnson manages the Mets to their other World Championship. Strange world
In the 80s Mets organization invested in a couple of good players and had awesome results, that mentality always brings good results. If they don't it's a loosing season the Yankees did it too in the 90s and good results. The Miami Marlins it's the opposite they can't afford good players or they trade them.
Because it was one of the most epic moments in baseball history. The Mets were 1 strike away from losing the World Series TWICE (Knight had 2 strikes on him when he got his hit.. Mookie had 2 strikes on him, and fouled off a couple of pitches before Stanley threw his wild pitch that tied the game).. I was at both Game 6 and 7 of the 86 Series.. winning Game 7 was anti-climactic. Game 6 was like being on an extreme emotional roller coaster.
I'm sorry but Conforto's 2 HR game should not be on this list. 2 solos in a losing effort does not count. And David Wright's HR also was not a big HR when put in context to a blowout game and losing the series in 5.....where the hell is Ray Knight's HR? That is the BIGGEST HR in Mets WS history! Wake up Mets and stop kissing DW ass.
And I also forgot to add, how about Donn Clendenon who hit 3 WS HRs....trailing 3-0 in game 5, the guy hits a bomb to make it 3-2 as the Mets rally to win it all. They lose that game and its back to Baltimore. Jeez you think that's more important than the Wright/Conforto HRs in a losing effort?
Maybe they're trying to appeal to young fans who have no recollection of when the Mets were the Mets? I would have loved to hear Jane Jarvis on the Thomas organ.
That 2015 team really broke my heart. Such a great team....
Moshe Cohen a lead in every world series game 😭😭😭
@@stevebully yeah. Gotta give credit to KC for playing a terrific series, but it was ours to win.
2015: Congratulations to the Royals on your WS win. See you in 30 years :D
Let’s hope we dominate when we get back up again
Dang agbayani is a hero no one expects. Ya Gotta believe!
Did I miss something? Where are Agee's catches???
I wondered about that. That was the first baseball game I ever watched with interest. And his HR in that game. Tommie Agee was my favorite Met after that.
Yeah they had to leave those out so they could add David Wrights 2r HR in a blowout game in a series they gagged in.
#1 still gives me chills!!!
2015 game 4 tears my goddamn soul out watching it
#4 I remember jumping out of my seat on the david wright hr in the 2015 world series
#2: Dave Johnson flies to Cleon Jones to give the Mets their first World Championship
#3: Dave Johnson manages the Mets to their other World Championship. Strange world
Makes me wonder what Marty Barrett is up to.
Well this year they got max and all of the other good players. Go Mets!

I love D Wright but I think ranking that hr #4 is a bit high.
He should not be on this list at all. Where they hell is Ray Knight?
i want to see the guy who jumped from a plane into shea stadium in the ws
Anymore from 73?
Without Agee's 2 catch leadoff hr game, this list is irrelevant
Could someone put the names of the announcers? I recognize Joe Buck, Tim McCarver and Vin Scuĺly. That's it. :-) :-)
Met announcers from way back- Lindsey Nelson, Bob Murphy and Ralph Kiner. The announcer for NBC was Curt Gowdy.
No Agee catches No Swoboda catch who made this list
umm, unless we saw different videos, wasn't the Swoboda catch #6?
@@mikeL5183 Yes Swoboda was in there on the list.
@@mikeL5183 looks like it was
Dont know how you can have game 6 mookie Wilson grounder ahead of the championship wins

@@LiveFromThePorcelainPalace it says game 7 and it's not a WS winner
If we are talking moments, Mookie play is #1 easily. The actually last outs of the 2 WS were inevitable.
