When Padme and Ani went to Naboo, these colorful scenes of a square and surroundings, were filmed in Plaza de España in Sevilla, Spain. Also, the lake scenes are from Italy (Lake Como).
Count Dooku had the chance to cut any limb of Obi Wan but he "only" hurted him. That´s because Obi Wan was Qui Gon Jinn´s apprentice; like Qui Gonn was his own apprentice once. Dooku, although he turned to the dark side, loved a lot Qui Gonn and, thinking about him, he didn´t want to hurt more than necessary at Qui Gonn´s apprentice. And only attacked him again to provoke the Anakin jump to block him (anticipation).
The whole Anakin-Padme thing always struck me as like obsessing over your babysitter while you're completely out of contact for ten years, then hitting on her.
The relationship between Anakin and Padme has more sense with the deleted scenes from the original footage. If you can take a look at these deleted scenes, you will like it even more. It´s a great chemistry.
I'm not sure if you realized it in those cut bits but Count Dooku is played by late Sir Christopher Lee, who played Saruman in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies.

Loved your reaction, as always! Just wanted to clarify one thing, though: Clone troopers are not stormtroopers. Clones are created from Jango Fett’s dna while Imperial stormtroopers (seen in Episodes 4-6) are regular people who went through the Imperial Academy, graduated, and joined the Empire (unless they defected to the Rebellion).

My take on Anakin's feeling towards Padmé is that he's obsessive over her because of his codependancy, having missed his mother for so long. Add teenager hormones and the solitary life of a Jedi to the mix, plus psychologically inept teachers, it won't help. As for Padmé, in a deleted scene at her parents house, in her bedroom with trinckets and pictures of her on humanitarian programs, you can see that she has a thing for desperate causes... Anakin is pretty much a desperate case, and a hot one at that... and her occasions to have romantic relationships are not that high so she pretty much has no experience on the matter... Keep guessing. Consider yourself lucky, we were spoiled on the Emperor's true identity even before the prequels came out because his real name was all over merchandising and toys !

Also, the 3 beasties sent in to kill Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padmé are a reek (the rhino-looking one), an aklay (the one that looks like a praying mantis) and a nexu (the tiger-looking one).* *Fun fact: Samuel L. Don't worry that bit with Sifo Dias has always been confusing. It would have been nice if they added a bit more info or a scene about him. But that was another Jedi, who died about 10 years ago. But somebody (you can deduce who) used his name, impersonating him, when charging a clone army to be made. Then during the convo with Obi Wan, Jango Fett says "Never heard of him. I was recruited by a man called Tyrannus" At the end of this movie you hear The Emperor say "Welcome home, Lord Tyrannus" to Dooku. Also, the unaltered clone of Jango, Boba, is Boba Fett, the bounty hunter Java hired to get Han Solo. You can see Jango and Boba's armour are the same, just different colors. PS. When Anakin starts murdering all the tusken raiders/sand people, when they pan to Yoda sensing it, you can actually HEAR Qui Gon/Liam Neson's voice saying "ANAKIN NOOO" and i NEVER caught that until i heard a reactor mention it lol
*Sifo-Dyas' identity is irrelevant.* We're to be in the dark about him because the Jedi are in the dark. He was likely "replaced" by Darth Tyrannus (the Sith name of Count Dooku) who recruited Jango Fett. All Sith have the title of Darth.
Don't worry if you don't remember who all these side characters are. All you really gotta know is Anakin is Darth Vader. He knocks up Padme and makes Luke and Leia.

The kid you felt sorry for is Boba Fett, the bounty hunter you saw in the original trilogy. He was the one who lead the Empire to the city in the clouds and cashed Jabba's bounty on Han Solo.

After the three prequels, you can continue with "SOLO" and "Rogue One" movies, that snugly fit right between Episodes III and IV. Many characters you've already seen make appearances in those two movies. They pretty much tie the two trilogies together. :)

This movie has a lot of detail, and I definitely think some of it is hard to follow at times. Sifo-Dyas may be explained better in the supplementary material. But, outside of character development, for the conspiratorial machinations, probably one major detail is the most important going forward - Dooku's line near the end: 'I have good news for you, my Lord; the war has begun.' So, whatever else he feigned outrage about, starting a war was always the point.
The Clone Wars animated series, Seasons 1-7, details the entire Clone War that takes place between Episodes 2 & 3. It's a 4 year time span. Within this series is where you will get all the context behind what ultimately pushed Anakin to the dark side. Episode 3 is the culmination.

Clones are not Stormtroopers, they are fully grown adults in just five years. The aging doesn't stop. As such they are subject to rapid aging. Stormtroopers are conscripts and don't exist in this time period. Anikin is only 4 years younger than Padme. Yoda's final Padawan and Qui Gon Jin's old master Count Dooku aka Darth Terranus, was a Jedi but after his father died he returned home to be the Count. He was studying the Sith holocrons at the Jedi temple in secret. Finally. The ploral of Jedi is Jedi, not Jedi's. Just as some people say nucular or nukiller instead of nuclear. The first two are not words or a thing at all.
Anakin's character here is little well as you said Creepy, not the actors fault just the material. The Clone Wars Cartoons matured his character and rounded him much more.

If you basically think of the Jedi as monks or nuns you will kind of understand why Anakin is so awkward around Padme. He is only 19 and grew up as a slave on a remote planet (think rural area) on Earth. So part of his awkwardness was intentional, I think. Also, there are deleted scenes in which they both go to see her family. It at least attempts to make. Padme’s odd, sudden change in feelings towards Anakin make a little more sense.
