I agree, depends on what the end effect is sought on how many wraps and how many threads to use in creating French knots. Different. opinions are worth listening, always. I also like Colonial knots when I want a heftier look.

I do like the French Stitch, I've never seen that one before. Naughty girl with the French Knot though, it should be either one or two wraps, never more. For a larger knot you should use more strands, or a thicker thread.
I do explain what happens with more wraps. Sometimes, an unstable knot is just what you need though, and some threads can take 3 wraps - mine worked fine. Learning by playing and experimenting is always good.
I’ve never tried the four-legged knot before. I love all the stitches. Your stitching is so neat.

I agree with Rebecca. Sometimes you want a loopy, curly knot for texture. Great videos, you are very good at explaining the stitches.
