Just about done and ready to release this update. It gives you 35 seconds at 48 KHz. Lower the sample rate and you get more. You can also lower the bit depth to 12 bit or 8 bit. There are up to 8 multi-samples across the keyboard for a single part, and you have four parts total to work with. Up to 32 different samples if you want. You can loop or play samples as one-shot. The looping includes equal power or equal volume crossfading with crossfade lengths up to the full length of the loop. Each sample is individually tunable. The 3rd Wave shows up as a hard-drive on your computer, so store or swap out the sample memory whenever you want. Any or all of the three oscillators can play an independent set of samples, or PPG waves, or modern user waves, or virtual analog into the SSI2140 filters and backend.
Hey Bob, love your passion, it’s contagious. I can’t seem to find a solid answer - are the amplifiers in the 3rd wave analog VCAs?
How did they get Ken to be their sales rep?
I already love this keyboard. I really don’t think it needs sampling, especially given the low amount of memory for 2024. Importing and creating wavetables seemed like enough already
Can someone provide a tutorial on how to sample and chop etc.. ❤ thanks
Cool and is there any way to upgrade the memory?
Would be good to know what kind of storage there is for samples, and how sample management works.
