I believe she wants to see what roles they continue to write for her lol but your point remains. Joel adapted the role of Lady Macbeth for her so I can’t wait to watch her and Denzel together. She just gets better with age and her performance is Nomadland was fearless and phenomenal. I love how she’s an iconic actress but never went Hollywood. She’s all about the work and it shows in her performances
@@ruly8153 Fargo followed closely by O Brother, Miller's Crossing, The Man Who Wasn't There, Hudsucker Proxy. Very hard to choose as they are all so different.
Rod Daniels Ya most directors just have one or two standout films but the Coens have so many. I’m in between The big lebowski and no country for old men, then o brother, then Fargo Haven’t seen a few of them
@@ruly8153 you're spot on with that comment. Their films are so diverse it's hard to choose, they each have their unique flavour. I've seen them all and have watched most of them several times. Can't wait for their next offering of Macbeth next year.
I love how meta this is watching it now... eg the coens saying it’ll be ages before digital will be the status quo , or Frances mcdormand wondering what films they’ll be making when she’s 65 (which is now )
@@junaidjames7343 can’t wait to watch her go toe to toe with Denzel in the tragedy of Macbeth. That has Oscars written all over it. I could see both her and Denzel winning Oscar Gold next year
It’s Impossible to prove wrong or right because it’s your opinion which is fair. They are among the greatest filmmakers of all time and I love their work esp Fargo, true grit, miller’s crossing, Barton fink and Hudsucker proxy but I prefer Paul Thomas Anderson. He’s a supremely gifted story teller and his work speaks more closely to my interests. He is gifted at all aspects of filmmaking including writing, casting, cinematography etc ...he literally served as his own cinematographer on his last film Phantom thread. He consistently takes his actors up another level and brings out career best performances...see Daniel Day-Lewis, Adam Sandler, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Mark Wahlberg, Joaquin Phoenix, Vicky Krieps, and many more. Like I said I love The Coens, Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese, Michael Mann, James Cameron, Ridley Scott, Nolan, Coogler, and Cuaron but PTA is my personal favorite
i have a chinese dvd box set of the complete Coen brothers films, and the copy of TMWWT on it is actually in colour, which is very bizarre. does not look as good in colour
Its weird, their movies are so awesome, yet instead of being characters they are really drab and boring in real life. Also I love Lebowski and no country for old men but I hate Fargo

Frances said she can’t wait to see what script she’ll get when she’s 65...
Hang on! It’s now 2021 and Nomadland!
Congratulations Frances!!!

@@alfonsogayman9699 yes we are so fortunate to have her.
How great is Frances McDormand?
I've been attached and loved each and every one of their movies.

Ya I seem to be the only one who knows about that movie until now
Have you seen ballad of buster Scruggs?
I love all their films❤️

a Joel & Ethan coen with Francis McDormand is simply irresistible
Simply 🤤
ethan's reactions are priceless
They are my favorite filmmakers love from Albania ♥️🖤
In my opinion, the finest filmmakers ever. Prove me wrong.

The comment about Cantors is pretty rich considering A Simple Man
Rest In Peace James Gandolfini
Joel Coen is Nicolas Cage in disguise

they’ve been on charlie rose a couple times now doesnt joel know not to wear black
4:05 He predicted A Serious Man! :O
how creepy is Charlie Rose?
he's slurring his words like he's drunk
OHHH! 9:51
For being so brilliant Im amazed they didn't just shoot with an older black and white stock. The extra finished stock used doesn't fit the aesthetic.
A lot of European countries wanted a color copy. It was shot in color but Roger Deakins desaturated the film for The U.S. and other markets.
Personally, I think it works BETTER than the grainy old stuff.
After watching this movie I'd say someone hung the wrong thing in their office. And other screwed up shit in their heads.

Drab and boring hahaha!!! You prefer your writer directors to be song and dance men XX
"Drab and boring" . No just straight, honest and not hyping their product. Which seems to be compulsory on talk shows
@@frogmouth it’s ok to be an introvert and you can tell they are very much introspective people.
they dont like dealing with the media. most of the reception of their on set communication is they're really laid back and easy to get along with
What do you want them to do ? A clown shitshow to entertain you lol
