Hi, Many thanks for the view. Mechanical protection refers to extra protection provided to the cable insulation i.e. conduit or Trunking etc

Mechanical protection is protection from impact or vibration etc.
Examples are trunking conduit or enclosures for impact & robust cable connectors for vibration.
