    Important Info:
    The RUclips video editor will be removed from RUclips September 20, 2017. Im trying to get out as much special videos as possible because my laptop doesnt have memory so I use the only video editor on youtube. If I cant find another good online video editor I will not be making any special videos anymore which means no more subscriber specials, no more light rail month videos, and no more crossing comparison videos if I cant find something proper.

    Apparently “this train is not in service” doesn’t mean anything to those idiots who keep trying to press the button and looking frustrated.

      Same car design, but updated and high floor only.
      Sacramento has the SIEMENS-DUEWAG U2A (aka SD-100), STL has the SD-400.

      Same. Hopefully since these CAF & U2A cars will be exclusive to the Blue Line this summer, hopefully they run them 4 cars again on that line. The Gold Line Siemens S700's will be 3 car since they are slightly bigger.

      I just look at their schedule. Their radio is private.

      @@MobileRailSpotterRxR Not really. You just don't know the frequency. It has to be public by law in case of emergency.

      @@RRansomSmith The point I was making is that you can't look up the frequency on the internet. I know that their is a public detection but its not open to find out about easy unless you work for them.

    It’s the most decrepit transit system I’ve ridden on (I’ve used transit in many cities around the world). Considered the worst in US by CityNerd. Dirty, dark, uncomfortable, noisy, impossibly high steps (close to 11”) and doesn’t really go anywhere. It’s a system designed to serve bedroom communities - a deeply flawed method of planning a light rail network - it guarantees low ridership!

    • @MobileRailSpotterRxR
      @MobileRailSpotterRxR  Год назад

      To note, they are now going through a systemwide modernization project currently to get the new cars running next year. Their old cars keep breaking down constantly and high floor vehicles riding transit in this era is annoying especially with putying your bike on the trains. Mechanical issues keep the trains from running on time also with the old cars. So far ridership though has improved since years ago. SACRT well transit here gets kneecapped a lot when it comes to voting for messuars for funding and then the same people that voted it down are the same ones "why the train don't got to the airport yet" hmn I wonder why. A lot of these improvement projects on the system should of been done a long time ago and now its crunch time.

      @@MobileRailSpotterRxR it’s been “next year” for quite a few years. It’s ironic that the new cars will be coming from Siemens who has their US factory in .... Sacramento! Other transit systems have gotten delivery of new rolling stock such as San Francisco, but not SacRT.
      The worst part of SacRT is the legacy of lousy planning. Their ridership will never improve, except if the airport connection ever comes to fruition, but only marginally. The current two and a half routes are stuck with low ridership forever. This is where bold land use policies from Sacramento City and other cities along the routes must rethink about the massively missed opportunities at each station. But that’s asking a little too much, given the tortuous nature of American polity where the trappings of governance has more to do with performance art than actually producing the benefits of government. A case of too much process but not enough product. It’s why other countries can produce transit more efficiently, quicker and cheaper. No easy fix in sight. We need a second American Revolution, but not the one envisioned by the current know-nothings running the House of Representatives. It’s complicated. (sigh)
