Love watching these as part of my weekend routine! The dress, cardigan, glasses combo was 👌🏻
Yay! Thank you! That is so so lovely to hear, thank YOU for watching!!
Loved your charity shop finds - I had my fingers crossed that you would buy that green dress when you were trying it on. Looks amazing!!
Thanks for showing me around your part of the world
Thank YOU for watching and yes I bought the green one and the red one 😊 and I rarely wear dresses !
Love the haunted house/ghost story book recs idea x
will record that for another wednesday after my September wrap up!
Confession: it took me a second go to get into The Thursday Murder Club. At that point book 3 had been announced but 2 was out. Now I'm utterly converted, absolute fan!
I'm glad to hear this, I am loving the characters by the mystery plot has lost me so far
I’ve ordered Honey Bee along with a few others 📚😂🙈 I have the sundown motel somewhere 😂 📚📚📚
yay! I do hope you enjoy ☺️
❤❤❤❤on the indoor bike so want to make sure some comment gets left 😂
Hope your indoor cycle was good x
Denise Mina is an auto buy author and recommended as she is Scottish. Great video Johanna
That's great to hear she's an auto buy for your, I need to read one of her books, Garnethill the best one to start with?
@@MeMyDogAndBooks yes it is the first in a trilogy
I found that book #1 in “The Thursday Murder Club” series has too much going on and too many characters. That can lead to confusion. As a result, even though I enjoyed book #1, I wasn’t sure if I would pick up book #2 but I’m glad I did. The books get better (in my opinion) as you progress through the series. 😀“The Thursday Murder Club” has wrapped filming and is scheduled for release at some point in 2025. The cast includes Helen Mirren as Elizabeth, Pierce Brosnan as Ron, Ben Kingsley as Ibrahim, and Celia Imrie as Joyce.🎥I just finished Richard Osman’s new book in a new series, “We Solve Murders” and it’s so much fun to read.
That’s helpful to know! I fancy seeing the movie which is one of the reasons I wanna give it another go. So glad to hear his new one is good I’ve requested from my library
I struggled with Thursday Murder Club, it bored me a bit. Hell Sans is definitely going on the tbr. I might even have a bash at one of those sticks you put on your face too 😅 I've never worn blusher, I'm guessing it's that kinda thing but it looked fab on you!
I'm quite pale so it's the only make up I use if I use any at all. Bar mascara sometimes! Well Thursday Murder Club I do love the characters but struggling with the mystery plot, I am getting confused
I never feel bad about DNFing a book, in fact I only give it about 20 or so pages. My TBR is too big to suffer. Love your charity shop dresses and reserved the Ever Dundas at the library.
Ooh I hope you do enjoy Hellsans. The older I get the quicker I DNF!
I was a bit underwhelmed by Thursday Murder Club!
so far I am confused by the plot but do love the characters
I find it hard to justify buying more books, but somehow I manage it 😂
I'm often reminded of what David Bowie said about his library and that sometimes he looks at his books, and it makes him sad to think that he will never get to read them all. I feel the same but why hasn't it stopped me getting more?
Please advise 😅
I hear you! But I am legit the worst person to advise you on this as I suffer from the same thing!
I really loved the idea of The Thursday Murder Club but ended up DNFing it as I found I just didn't care what happened. I did think it would be a good cosy Sunday night tv series though so will watch the movie, but not until it's on tv. In Cold Blood is on my physical TBR, I hope I get on better with it than you. I am very fond of Breakfast At Tiffany's so I expect it'll be ok.
Oh I adore Breakfast at Tiffany's the book and movie and I do hope you are in the majority and enjoy In Cold Blood than I did, I'm gutted. I am persevering with the Thursday Murder Club as I am enjoying the characters but the mystery plot is loosing me!
