Do swings. And dips. And refuse to tell your age. That will make you strong.

Not buying any more books by Pavel. Most can be boiled down to a page or two with text and tables. I love the topic, though. However, I am also skeptical as to his claims. I would need them to be confirmed with more independent studies.

Check out Lebe Stark’s review on this book. Basically, he says that the science is wrong but the program is good. And he interviewed a professor to reach this conclusion.

Great read, but don’t purchase until you can Timeless Simple from Simple and Sinister.

      I only have a T-Handle loadable kettlebell, so I can't reall train Get-Ups. Since get-ups aren't in AXE, is 10×10 71lb swing good enough?

The best program I have seen from Pavel was Right of Passage, but then again I’m not sure if he was the one that came up with that program.

Even better for me was the Program Minimum in the ETK

I read the book. Quite underwhelming IMO. I would give it 3/5. The program itself can be summarized in a paragraph. The rest is energy systems basics plus some claims that apparently only exists in a work of one or two Russian researchers. So not so scientific as it tries to pretend to be.

"Fast trumps strong..." such a great insight not discussed enough by strength training coaches... seems to be from my understanding that the order of degradation goes from skill, speed, power, strength, hypertrophy, endurance... and focusing on speed and power keeps the others at bay for longer if they are the focus while maintaining and perhaps in certain cycles focusing on others. just my interpretation of that quote
