Guarapo, [sugar cane juice] actually has a lot of healthy minerals and enzymes in it; as opposed to regular refined table sugar, which is nutrient devoid. However, It still has a lot of sugar in it, so drink sparingly.

Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to take an art tour of Miami. Spent a couple hours near and in Little Havana. What a wonderful experience. I had lunch right across the street from Ball and Chain. Only downfall was it was a torrential all day rain that day so we did get wet!
Bravo!!! I use to visit Little Havana with my folks, but it was our own thing. The tour was amazing. It had everything. The food, culture. Wow! You had a cafecito, guarapo, then Cuban ice cream. You didn’t sleep you a week. (It was worth it). 🇨🇺❤️❤️

Romina Yes and no; are they in Cuba yes! However, packed with Americans. I mean a restaurant with no fan fare only good real cuba food. Example you come to China Town in New York City. Never eat at the Chinese restaurants on main road. Go down the side streets. Look in the restaurant window. If all you see is mostly Americans move on. However, if the restaurant is packed with Chinese people. Get your butt in there and enjoy real Chinese dishes. Yummy. The same with Little Italy. Best restaurants almost everyone inside is speaking Italian. Waiters know little English. Yummy
brainsareus If I want great Kimchi. I will not be going to a Cuban, Chinese, or Italian restaurant. I will not find good Kimchi at American steakhouse nor An Aussie Out Back. I will be going to a Korean restaurant. One packed with Koreans to sit down among them and enjoy excellent KOREAN Kimchi! Again please go push your race drama remarks elsewhere.

This is true. Another thing some people do it just chew or suck on the sugar cane to get that taste.
Next time try our tours for homemade hot Cuban meal! Lechon, ropa vieja, boiled yuca with mojo, black beans, rice and not so much sugar--haha.

Ball and chain is actually one of the newest establishments in Calle 8! I live here so I thought you should know ❤️
It's actually one of the oldest establishments in the area. It was opened in 1935, and has now been restored to it's original glory.
