I assembled one of these kits when I was a kid. I had it hanging from my bedroom ceiling on threads. The kit was a big deal when it came out. There was a multi-page ad by Airfix in all the kids comics,
There's a lot of modelers who can properly weather and finish a model. Greg, you are clearly in the top 1 per cent of those modelers. Outstanding work as always - you should be very proud, Greg.
Nice bird! Its a shame that there are only 2 stukkas in the whole world left. 1 is where you live, the other is hanging from cables in the Chicago Museum of science and industry. What a bad place for a rare bird! No flyers are left. 1 place in Washington state has started reverse engineering and building brand new stukka, but they closed down, it was a cool war museum. I think they will finish it and make it fly. Great job Greg!
This is not modeling; this is art. You've inspired me to have a go again. I made this model in the 70's, when I was about 12. It looked absolutely nothing like yours!
This kit is incredible for something that was first issued in 1975, seems to be quite accurate and the level of detail is good. You do not go overboard with adding or altering a lot of detail, but your painting and weathering is what makes the model a very pleasing one to look at. A pity that the motor didn't work but I couldn't see how you had to get the wires under the cockpit floor once the fuselage was closed.
Another work of art Greg. Your skill is only eclipsed by your patience! I shouldn't worry about the motor...........the model's so realistic that if it did work the bloody thing would have flown away and you'd have never seen it again!!!
Very nice work... My brother builded this kit back in 1978...

Fantastic work. I have to say I haven't seen a better built Stuka. You did a completely precise construction again with your already typical sense for details. Congratulations, Greg. I will be looking forward to your next construction. 😮👏
Great work, though honestly, I would have loved to see more finished photos ... I could literally stare at it in it's finished state for hours, beautiful build!
Partly due to nostalgia but mostly due to your skill as a builder, and narrator of this video, I have enjoyed the 3 part series like no other I have seen in a long time. Very well done, Greg. She is a gorgeous model!
This is ultimate skills and patience at work! I am very happy to come across such love of precision and creative skills in model building. Lots of thanks to you for sharing your progressive immaculate works in building this one of everybody favorite plane!
Fantastic work ! I've really enjoyed watching you 1/24 scale projects, hope you have the room to do some more! I like the way you achieved 'scuffed' paint; I've seen so many models with paint chips but few with a scuffed dull finish that doesn't show the silver through. Thanks for sharing !
Nicely done! I want to eventually build the Trumpeter 1/24 G model with the under wing cannons. Thr paint and weathering look very realistic 👌 super job!
Fantastic build. I found your channel as I was looking for some other info on the Stuka, but I also build models too, but mainly armour. I watched all 3 parts of this just now. Anyway, this build has got you a sub. Fantastic build. Just fantastic.
Greg job done great work top build what a year its been thankyou for sharing your builds something I enjoy and as always learn along the way glass raised to you sir you& your family stay safe have the best Christmas you can here's to 2021 builds than you jon
I guess I came in a little late, but; that is some outstanding modeling. I have seen that kit around for years and have often wondered about it. The quality of fit, etc. Very nicely done, and; very realistic.
Lovely model and a nice finish. I am going off washes at the moment. I think if a dark wash is done all over the model it can make it look rather dowdy. I have been experimenting with dabbing neat oil paints into seam lines and wiping off the excesses. I can even dry brush neat oils around seam lines and the edges of panels to enhance effects. It takes a lot longer but it is my favorite part of the build anyway. It i also safe in that any mistakes can be safely wiped away in seconds. I have had washes attack paints and spoil a whole paint job.
Beautiful..... if such a word can be used when talking about a Stuka!! :-D That is a masterful build of an incredible looking kit. So yeah... Beautiful!! :-)
Beautiful work, well done and thanks for sharing. I have been modelling 30 odd years but nowhere near your level! Still, it is inspirational and I want to try and take my modelling to a higher level after seeing this.
Greg you are the best! Way over in Detroit, just retired (51) starting the hobby, you,re videos are incredible, inspirational

I did not think it was possible to make an Airfix kit look that good. Fantastic work Greg
At any moment these 2 crew members get off the plane for a coffee. Very, very realistic, fantastic work!

Epic build, very nice result
One of Airfix's better 1/24 kits for the time. The Hurricane came a close second, just my humble opinion.
@@GregsModels yes always fancied doing that and the hurricane.
Absoulutely beautiful work. Love your videos. Great talent . Thankyou for sharing. Cant wait for the next video!
Fantastic build.
I found your channel as I was looking for some other info on the Stuka, but I also build models too, but mainly armour. I watched all 3 parts of this just now.

That's the nicest 1/24 scale build of an Airfix kit I've seen. Lovely work. :)
Brilliant, Greg! Really love how this one came together and looks all finished. Well done!
Gregg ya cost me 100 bucks. Yup ordered me one of these old Airfix beasts after seeing ur build. Nicely done sir. Nicely done indeed.
Enjoy! Not a bad kit for its age, should look good hanging form the ceiling in a dive pose?
Très bien fait , beau travail .
Thank you👍
Looks more realistic than the real aircraft !
