In this video we have discussed the HSP 70 chaperone system which includes the help from co chaperone called the HSP 40. The HSP 70 cannot work alone and needs HSP 40 for the regulation of ATPase activity. The Unfolded protein is recruited by HSP 40 towards the HSP 70 cavity and mediates the folding.

Does Hsp40 not dissociate immediately after delivering the substrate polypeptide to Hsp70? and then after it dissociates, ATP hydrolysis occurs?

That's not true. The protein folding occurs due to continuous binding and unbinding of Hsp70 + Hsp40 complex with the substrate. The folding does not occur inside the Hsp70. You're thinking of Hsp60 chaperonin.
