I was part of that magical era. Monday, Latin Night at the Village Gate hosted by Symphony Sid. No recording could ever come close to capturing the energy in the room. We danced on the tables, on the floor, we danced in the men's and women's bathrooms, we even tried dancing on the stage as these giant muscle-bound bouncers would come over to pick us up and either throw us out or just lift us down. Ya just had to be there, otherwise, no words to describe.
