For such a small interior, the combination of sportiness and coziness is off the ROOF. I've been a BMW owner for many years and I would still say that Benz, hands down, has the best interior design of any car manufacturer.

The drama this car evoques is unreal. The lines, lighting, infotainment, and overall aesthetic of the vehicle are perfectly matching the modernity of the model year.
I don't really go crazy over sports cars but the front and side profile of this thing is actually making me envy it. Immaculate.

Why on earth did the stop 65 production!? That V12 was so smooth godlike for the grand touring cars such as S coupe and SL. I understand why there isn't G65 AMG anymore, but S and SL? Better than 63 V8
Soon combustion engine will all ge gone. Let's enjoy them while we still can. And in my opinion the V8 architecture is the best engine ever.
@@kompressor01 Better than AMG V12 how tho? Other than lower production cost (which is the main reason why they fully switched to it like it or not), AMG V12 is directly better engine. More power aside, it's much smoother, vibrates/moves much less hence is less likely to require serious service believe it or not. Also it has *more* headroom than it has more power proportionally, hence the given power is easier for that V12 than V8 despite having more horsepower. Engine simply deals with its power easier and smoother. Also much more cc contribute to the headroom the engine has, while V8 is pushed to it's limit basically. Before in the "old" days from say 2006-2010 V12 had too much power for the gearbox (hence 5 spd in some older S 65), but now thats not an issue at all.
Anyways, regardless of opinions V12 AMG is the better engine, and is especially without any second thoughts better thab V8 for S and SL. Much smoother, more powerful, much larger headroom (handles its power better), etc.
Weight penalty is minimal.

Finally after awhile a Mercedes that you would look at twice.
Thank god the SL is coming back... I remember when I was a kid the SL from 2003-2008 was my favorite car for some reason. It resembled the slr so much (my favorite car ever) so I'm just happy that after all these years of shitty designs, it's finally coming back.
2009-12, best sl ever, the redesign made it so modern, it still looks new, mine turns heads like a new mclarren would.
