This Abstract Painting was a mistake - DONT follow this technique

Don't try this technique when painting abstract, this painting didn't work, I had a vision in my head of how this painting should have looked and it didn't turn out as planned. I used a simple masking technique for the 2nd part of this abstract piece and it just didn't fit within the overall composition of the piece, the two different techniques don't work well together and the end result I feel just doesn't work as a modern piece of art.

Well, I won’t take your advice to NOT do this. 😉 I love it!! Geometric designs appeal to me. I certainly would try using these techniques today. I give it a 👍🏻
