LYRICS
Been living under the gun since I first hit the road
Felt broken, lost and defeated, I hit my lowest lows
Incompetence is a killer when the mouth that speaks is ignorant
I’ll see you choke on your words, self-righteous hypocrites
You wanna see a war?
I’m here to settle scores
Sick the hounds, cut you down from your high horse
Is this what you want?
Is this what you need?
Rip the flesh from the bone of the hand that feeds
You wanna see a war?
I’m here to settle scores
Sick the hounds, cut you down from your high horse
A name unfit for a stone at its final resting place
The lonely fate of the wicked
Another unmarked grave
Caught the scent
Took the bait
Now the hunter is the prey
You wanna see a war?
I’m here to settle scores
Sick the hounds, cut you down from your high horse
Is this what you want?
Is this what you need?
Rip the flesh from the bone of the hand that feeds
You wanna see a war?
I’m here to settle scores
Sick the hounds, cut you down from your high horse
Chambered one last round
Dead ‘fore you hit the ground

🤘🏽 WAGE 🤘🏽 WAR 🤘🏽
I FUCKING LOVE U GUYS!!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
We need one more !
Do you guys read minds or somn'? I was just sitting there, hoping for new WW soon, go to my recommended, and THERE YOU WERE. Absolute banger of a track fellas, this is amazing.
BLEGH! 🤘
Wage War: "...Is this what you want? Is this what you need?"
Me: Yes
Had the same thing in my Head 😂😝
Reference for them not being heavy so this is them being heavy
Best part of the song, its groovy asf and still aggressive
Hit 1k likes 😊
Heavy Wage War
Cover it nick!
Or react :)
Cover it !
And react!!😋
Yes
Чувак, ты везде.
Holy shit that was a banger
that's what sheeeee said
Cover please!!!
When gun drummer you know says it was a banger you know it's was absolutely 💯 🔥 👌
I thought it was Corey Taylor that how good it is
Fuck to the yeah it was
It's almost like a year in quarantine made all my favorite bands angrier
I was legit thinking the same thing. 2020 broke these bands in a good way after an album or two of "softer" stuff. 😂 not being able to tour brought the rage back 🙏
They realized that going back to the heavy sound was the next move. Just like tons of bands all got soft, they’re realizing being heavy again is what a lot of their fans want. It’s no coincidence that so many bands who went for the softer sound are now conveniently all getting heavy again and making music more like their original sound. I’m here for it.
I think but could be wrong. architect was the first band to bring out a heavy album this year and all the other bands are following that trend
@@EpicGamer2018 stop thinking that architects is top tier metalcore and everyone tries to follow them, open your eyes, nobody cares
@@yuriikhomenko4353 imagine a Covid victim arking at me in the RUclips comments section 😂 grow up
if this doesn't satisfy the people who didnt like the last album, theres no hope for y'all. this shit is exquisite
1. I agree. 2. I'm one of the few who actually really enjoyed Pressure.
@@fireflow726 I enjoyed most of Pressure, but I can't hate on them for wanting to try something new. this single proves that they haven't lost touch of what they were in the first 2 albums, but it also doesn't really sound like the first 2 albums
yep this shit is amazing you know there is people i know who wont listen to this band for 2 reasons one the singer is a christian an 2 the band has a song called go be the voice of god which is so fucking stupid for reasons why not to listen or like this band this song is a fucking banger for sure
@@brandencrago7164 I can't imagine being that close minded lmao honestly that's sad. I listen to a few christian rock/metal bands because they make good music and their lyrics can be interpreted in different ways other than just faith.
@@brandencrago7164I'm an atheist and love this band
Flag on the play. Excessive brutality
My neck is in agreement with you lol
Frank Castle wants this as his theme
Wage war isn’t that heavy though lmao
33 yard penalty offense 😂
The guitarists have grown back their hair and released a heavy hitter the same as BFMV... So the longer the hair the heavier and better the music indeed
If you like Wage War perhaps you will like Wildsight as well too check out their new single out here
ruclips.net/video/ZkALBMnlihI/видео.html
Idk about that. Seems like of the Deathcore bands have short hair or no hair.
Like Alex Terrible. Be bald angry Russian man lol
Damn! Thanks for the heads up on the new release from BFMV! Just checked it out and it hits hard!
Lol you just compared WW to bullet. You 🤡 ass bro lmao
Ultimate 🤡 alert lmao
Absolutely legendary
I love Caliber TV...Please capture this song live!
Best band ever.
damn....I get to see this song played 30 times this summer...thats tight.
30 times this summer? 30 times TONIGHT!!!!
@@bmxdestroy They mean live because they tour with Wage War
@@inaplaceofsolace how about both
Bet. I'll be in the Kansas crowd.
You guys were great at the diamond ballroom!!!! Dust in the wind!!
The “OOOUWWGGHHH” at 2:15 makes me feel like I can smash through a brick wall like the hulk
I am new to Metal and this is the first metal song I have found on my own and fallen in love with. It will always hold a special place in my heart for that 🖤
Wage War is a huge inspiration to us! They have been consistent over the years and are absolutely not slowing down any time soon. If you dig this sound check out our latest single "The New Narrative". I think you'd dig it! Stay rad 🤘
Same! Also new to metal. This and death roll are my favorite songs from Manic. I’ve liked other artists in the past that are more in the alt metal / dark electronica genre but this shit hits different. ❤️🔥🥵
Not new to metal core, but this song fucking slaps
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 have a whirl at Parkway Drive, I Killed The Prom Queen, Void Of Vision.. just so others you might enjoy
Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Falling in Reverse, Motionless in White, Killswitch Engage...
People sleep on Killswitch Engage. They mix it up from light to heavy like Avenged Sevenfold and it's beautiful music.
Wage War screaming-only songs like The River, Stitch, Deadweight or Fury bring a lot of excitement and this one hits as hard the ones I mentioned but with an improved quality and sound overall. They deliver truly bangers. 🎵
@Doom Slayer pfp and name checks out
It's way closer to the classic metallic hardcore sound, tbh i'm pretty freaking much tired of cheesy poppy atmospheric kinda metalcore, i miss this heavy assbeater sound of the genre way too much.
@@ThatShitGood preach
Spitting fax as usual Jason
Disdain.
This is a new level of production quality, this mix is sick as hell
I was thinking the same thing. Way better than what pressure mix was. It had like no low end and the drums just sounds wet 😂
@@punkfreak1414 Eh, not really. Sounds about on par with Pressure, which I didn't think sounded bad at all. From the sound of it, it was most likely mixed by the same guys, which I'm 90% sure is Drew Fulk and Jeff Dunne.
Drew fulk's kick tone drives me nuts
This sounds closer to the low music video mix than anything on that actual album.
@@phantomtearsca i'm also confident that Jeff Dunne and Drew Fulk mixed it but it also sounds better i think, this is tighter and the low end is more present
But Pressure wasn't bad for sure, this is just and improvement for me
Briton's vocals sound very Corey Taylor in this song
Early slipknot thats what I am saying!!!!
Was just thinkin the same thing
Yup. Heard this song on Spotify and thought It was a new slipknot song at first.
Yea. I was thinking same thing. This song reminds me of Psychosocial.
Dude I honestly thought that Briton sounded super close to Corey Taylor on Stitch. Reminded me of early Slipknot.
I love this song so much.
Me 2
2021 is the year of Metalcore. The rawring 20s is in full swing. Welcome back Wage War!
2020 had some killer albums it almost gave me rona
Rawrin 20's love it 😂🤘
Dude yes! New Ice Nine Kills, Bullet for my valentine, Trivium, Phinehas been tons of bangers!
Wage War, The Devil Wears Prada, and Phinehas are keeping metalcore alive this summer.
Born Of Osiris, Crystal Lake, We Came As Romans, and Beartooth as well. Hell, even Bullet For My Valentine too.
Of Mice & Men...
Fit for an autopsy
Trivium...
Dont forget dying wish
Some bands just deserve to be on top. Wage War are one of them.
This is how you make a mature sound without going soft. Love this
Hi, could You reccomend me some bands producing similar neat sound, without softness you mentioned? Appreciated!

What a show!
This is dope af definitely what we all needed!!! Gives you that The River and Low feeling heavy af and massive headbanger all the way thru!!!!
This whole album is a masterpiece!
Producer: How many breakdowns should we have in this song?
Wage War: Yes
Jeremy from A day to remember actually produced this song bro 👀
@@isaacvillarreal7043 fr? If that’s the case he should produce their own music lmao
@@mutatednut yeah he does bro…
This has gotta be the gnarliest breakdown in a long time.. And those riffs are SICK. Great job with this one!
I went to see them for my first big concert with three days grace and it was the greatest talent people
Just saw you in Dallas recently, and you guys tore it up. Amazing job, well polished act and never wasted a moment...always getting after the next song.
Just heard this song for the first time last night at point fest 2024 stl first time I got to see the mosh pit actually death wheel thanks so much for that experience
Yes please more I want more I hope this is a hint to what's to come you guys make absolute bangers and I anticipate every release even your soft songs are great. Keep it up guys 🤟🤟
I pray the whole album is this fucking nasty. Please and thank you 🤘🤘🤘🤘
First time hearing wage war.
Long term metal/alt music.
Disappointed i haven't heard them sooner.
This is definitely what i need
Listen to their "Circle The Drain" it's AWESOME
No no don't listen to Kate! You take yourself on down to their album Blueprints and start with The River 🙏
Ill do both
Sammeee
my intro to wage war was at rockville and they outperformed every band there that i went to see.
Holy $#!% this goes hard
_NOW THE HUNTER IS THE PREY_
I hope the whole album has a lot of this and less of the generic sounding pop punk the last album had
Pressure was a good album. Sorry not everything has to be ANGERY and go "blegh" on every track for you.
@@Cobbster92 You spelled "meh" wrong.
@@Cobbster92 yeah but I feel these guys go too far with the pop crap
@@noacog4u320 Well, hopefully did at this point. So glad this didn't have clean vocals.
I liked album 3 but this is my home with wage war.
Nik Nocturnal will have a reaction up in a few minutes, right?
"Caught the scent, took the bait. Now the hunter is the prey." Saw them live last week at the house of blues, fuckin savage performance
Just saw them a few days ago at the Amalie Arena in Tampa. Can also agree even if it was very short.
club LA may 25, gonna mosh so hard bro
Omg!!I pray to god the rest of the new album sounds like this!!
Probably one of the heaviest choruses i‘ve ever listened to. The simple banging groove combined with such pure and brutal vocals screaming „rip the flesh from the bone of the hand that feeds“, thats what simply does it for me
i love that line
Now this is what I expect from a band called Wage War.
Their new album very much isnt
It's so awesome to see new songs come out! You guys RAWK!!

Looking forward to the full album, sounds very promising!
Saw these guys live for the first time a couple days ago and it was awesome! I remember a circle pit formed during this song.
I saw them not knowing who they were back in January 2022
They just came on to my shuffle and I’m already hooked! Giving me slipknot hatebreed vibes in the best way.
Не давно только вспоминал про вас и тут такая пушка подъехала.
Однозначно на повтор♥️🎧

woo come a new album, the evolution of the guys is getting better.
Great song, was not expecting new material from wage war so soon, but it’s welcome! One of my favorite metal-core bands of the new breed! 🤘🏴☠️👍
So soon?! It’s been 3 years since pressure released!
@@iamdifferent777 It hasn't even been two years, Pressure was August 30th of 2019

So proud of them!!! 🤘🖤 They made it out of this small town. Wage War and A Day To Remember are from my home town. It's so awesome to see people from here succeed!
Ocala?
Dude I did not expect that. This song goes in. Awesome lyrics and sick vocals as usual.

I saw the breakdown for this a year ago. Had no idea what the song was but man HAVE I BEEN MISSING OUT. Need to check them out
Have fun going down that rabbit hole😂. Dont forget a helmet and neck brace
I'm glad they're back heavier.
Had these guys on repeat for 2 weeks now. Great for gaming I don’t die anymore
still my favorite workout song to this day. hit PR's to this
What makes this song good is they change their style a little. I hear a mix of nu, power, and death metal. So many other bands remind me of this song, bravo
This is definitely the song I needed from them after that Pressure album failed to meet my standards. Glad to see the heavyness return
Less than a week til I see this live. My hype is only building!
How was it?
@@rowanplaysbass Fantastic!
the energy of this oneeeeee....incredible
Probably my new favorite track! Can't wait to hear the new album! Great work again, guys!!
My neck hurts from so much head banging with these breakdowns one after another. Can’t wait for the new album.
And here I was just thinking that I wanted to hear something from these guys that had the same heaviness as Stitch, which got me listening to them in the first place. Not disappointed at all!
FINALLY!! IVE BEEN WANTING MORE WAGE WAR!! Cant wait for their next album
Saw you with 3 days grace and you guys were amazing. Hadn't heard of you before then, but I know you now and you definitely got another fan

The breakdowns....!! EPIC (Nothing more to say just EPIC!)
Heard this for the first time live, and gotta say I do listen to Wage War, but how I didn't listen to them *frequently* before the concert blows my mind. I. Require. More. Wage. War.
I'm so stoked! Been a huge fan of wage war for years! Helped me through my darkest days and then I find out the new record drops on my wedding day! Stokeeeeddd!

What an absolute banger. I can’t wait to see you guys on tour with beartooth 🤘🏼
I'd be totally fine if there weren't any clean vocals on the whole album. This is pretty sick
I want a whole album like this where it sounds more like classic metallic hardcore rather generic poppy atmospheric sound that is already done by 1 million other metalcore bands, totally dig this.
@@ThatShitGood exactly dude! I think I've just grown kinda tired of every single metalcore band moving to that same structure with harsh vocals on verses, clean chorus, etc. That's why Darko's new album stuck with me so much
ala Unearth
@@jacksonislegend same, i'm tried of metalcore bands with that kind of "meshuggah riffs with linkin park choruses" sound, i legitimately throwing up after hearing bands like that at this point, i need this heavy kickass metalcore back.
@@ThatShitGood It just depends on the band, honestly. Bands like Killswitch Engage practically invented that trademark sound and can stick to it and get away with it. Although, without Howard in the band I would prefer to just hear Jesse scream, but that's a whole different matter. Then bands like The Plot In You, Ice Nine Kills, Dance Gavin Dance, Silverstein, Stick To Your Guns, and Our Last Night... Basically the post-hardcore bands can do half and half really well... But then again, Every Time I Die and Norma Jean can too.
Been a long time... welcome back guys!!!
