      Realistically, Yankee fans would’ve complained if they got Grenike saying “he doesn’t have the stomach for NY” Plus the dude is 35. Realistically who was out there that they could’ve gotten that would’ve made Yankee fans happy?

      Dodgers took an L too. I don't know what they were expecting the pirates to do for Vazquez. What? Just hand him over for a handshake? He's got like a 1.73 era. You have to trade something of value for a guy who's controllable through 2023.

      if the stros didnt get a starter and the braves didn't do anything the dodgers and yanks could say we still the 2 best teams...now both teams feel like they can win the nl and al relief help is always nice but the stros got a real ace and the braves got a closer which they needed badly......the fuck were the dodgers and yanks doing?....you may not win for 10 years...go for it..smdh..the dodgers are at the end of their run imo..if they dont get it done this year its over for them winning titles the next few years ..who cares about prospects...1 of them may hit?.so?...

    Trading prospects for Zack Greinke is a no brainer. 90% of top prospects don’t make it in the MLB. They gave us Zack Greinke for 3 kids who have little to no chance to be successful pro players. I wish the prospects well but from a statistical standpoint getting an established veteran ace pitcher who’s a future hall of famer for 3 kids is obvious.

      @dumbcow1 5 лет назад +2

      @@dharmaram7527 Greinke had one of the best seasons of his entire MLB carrier so far this year on the Dbacks. Unfortunately the rest of the pitching on the Dbacks was non existant, so it was for a team that was going nowhere. Yet we some how mange to stay at .500. Look at his numbers this year, Ill take it you don't watch the Dbacks. Dbacks let him go because he was a HUGE payroll burden on a team that is starting rebuild mode. This year was supposed to be an absolute throw away year, we got rid of Goldschmidt and would of happily ditched Greinke in offseason if someone wanted to take on that albatross contract. Only because he pitched like a madman this season were we able to send him off for Houstons 3,4, and #5 top prospects. It frees up $$$$$$$ is the big win for Arizona, and will be an absolute ace for Houston if he keeps pitching as he is.

    People criticizing the Dodgers "not doing anything" fail to realize that front offices from the Mets and Pittsburgh were asking for too high quality of prospects for a reliever. Not a 30HR or .350Avg hitter or a front end rotation piece, but for a reliever. Relievers are volatile, especially going from year to year. You don't want to decimate a prosperous farm system, give up viable parts of the future, for a a reliever. The Dodgers will have in-house options for the rotation and bullpen.

Especially sevvy we need him to come back like himself before the playoffs. Plus if you think about it out rotation in the playoffs is pretty great

    As a Yankees fan, I see an opportunity for the teams around them to overtake us. I am not happy with us standing pat and Brian Cashman's in a bind this season. He is seeing an even worse strain of injuries and have no leverage for trades. He's fighting teams off Florio and that's our top trade chip? Trouble on the horizon. One pitcher is below a 5 ERA this season, and he (Germán) would be considered 4th in the rotation. The Astros and Red Sox can sweep us in 3 or 4. Each team is loaded with Cy Young'ers.

  • @nickbigmann5228
    @nickbigmann5228 5 лет назад +1

    As good as the Yankee lineup is that Astros starting rotation is lights out. I can see the Astros hitting Yankee pitching but I wonder if the Yankee offense will be able to score enough against that Astro pitching staff. I kind of doubt it, barring injuries I think the Astros are going back to the World Series and will meet and beat LA just like 2 years ago.

      Arizona's Chase Field gives up more home runs in that park historically than Minute Maid does and both are places where homeruns die in center field. A major difference between the parks is Arizona is 1,000 ft higher in altitudeand they are even considering using a humidor next year. There will be a tremendous difference going to Houston.
      If you look up Grinky's home run charts you will find over the course of his entire career that it is spread out very evenly over right, center, and left field. I'm sure he'll adjust as he has dominated pretty much every year to date.
