I’m adopted and I asked my co worker who’s Muslim about adoption once and she essentially just said “well your dad will try to have sex with you because you’re not really his daughter”.
I was absolutely mortified but I kindly explained to her that my father would never do that, and just because I’m not biologically related to him that doesn’t mean I’m an illegitimate child.

Indeed this rule is messing up the million years old invention of alloparenting or allonursing. Everything about islam is perfectly unnatural for the human species. This includes the idea that one man can have over twenty wives. Some twenty thousand years ago this would have been a deadly strategy, because in small groups it leads to fast inbreeding. And we spend most of our evolution in small groups, so we are genetically entirely unprepared for this entirely new propaganda crap.

There was a Filipina who used to work as a domestic helper in Pakistan. While she was working there, there was an adult man (very likely, 50 years of age) forcing this woman to "breastfeed" him. She sought help from our government to return home to our country, the Philippines, because she was experiencing swelling of her nipples from the old man who forced her to "suckle" him.
Successfully, she returned home and she pledged she would never work as a domestic worker again in Pakistan nor in the Middle East. This was posted on a RUclips channel of an investigative reporter.
When I showed the ruling of Islam and the hadith about this incident, Filipino people (in the comment section) were flipping out of disgust! At the end of the day, I told them: "Yes... This is a rule from Islam!"

What you ought to do is ask questions from the right sources and not just run with anything you see on youtube and then jump to conclusions. The breast feeding involved a boy who had just entered puberty. You can fairly easily verify this for yourself. Many of the people here commenting here saying that the person was a man, have deliberately misread the text to spread misinformation. While the text does say 'man' it did not refer to a full grown man. It was referring to a boy who had just entered puberty and was thus a "man" in the sense that he was capable of having sexual desires.

My problem is not with faith but with religion as an organization, which has been used as a means of control, to pit people against each other, and to incite terror and war. Religion in this context serves the purposes of many various global elitist agendas.

I am a married, Christian woman in my 60's. We have a male neighbor who comes over and helps with gardening and heavy chores. So you are saying, that if I were Muslim, I would have to expose my breast for him to nurse, so that I could be alone with him and not have "anything happen"? NO WAY. An old lady nursing and adult man is already totally out of line. In our religion that might be grounds for divorce.

That's nonsense. It's related to breastfeeding babies, and more than once, that established relationship. The rest is just fabricated weird stuff he's talking about.

You are comparing child marriage 1444 years ago, when it was common everywhere no matter religious background, to nowadays. Just think about marriage habits of European royalty... marrying their princesses against their will at a young age to supposed enemies in order to avoid trouble.

In Hinduism any infant we breastfeed or fed with our breast milk (There are women who donate breastmilk with the pump machine for infants whose mothers can't breastfeed) is considered our God daughter or God son. We become an honorary parent immediately and the child is also supposed to honor that person as their parent. Same goes for Men and women who help in raising the child to become proper person. That is why we consider our teachers as our parents too. Fall at their feet in reverance. The nanny who raises the child in a wealthy home is also considered a mother to that child. We don't need to give birth to that child to consider him or her our own child. But the breastfeeding rule is only for children. Not adults like in Islam 😂😂. I swear this cult is so strange. In Hinduism if we want to adopt someone into our family we just perform a ceremony. Recite prayers in front of Agni Offer gifts to Agni give the Intended person gifts and our family name etc. A woman can also accept a man who is not related to her by blood or is not her family as her family and a brother by doing a rakhi ceremony. A thread is tied to his wrist and he is considered her brother for life. He is supposed to protect her from all harm and her children will be his God nephew and God niece as well. If anything should happen to her and her husband he is to get direct custody of those children. And his wife will be obligated to raise the children alongside her own.

The Mughals and British when they invaded they released some of their own versions of our religious texts to divide the ppl and convert them when forceful conversions wasn't working well enough. The British def succeeded more in this regard. Manipulated texts. If she is Brahma daughter then who is her mother? 😂. No one. Because before Saraswathi Brahma did not have any wives. So even without procreation and just a spiritual birth it is not possible to give birth to her. No mother. She was also not born of Brahma seed. There are two versions to this. One version is she materialized in the form of knowledge like the other Gods and goddesses did from ParamPorul which is the one source. They are all part of the one source creation. No seed. Just spirituality. Just materialized. The other version is she materialized when Brahma recited prayers. She is the very form of knowledge. Since she is not adopted nor from his seed then she is not his daughter. Many of our Gods incarnated in this world to guide us. They were born to human mothers and fathers. Humans are created by Brahma's spiritual powers. Does this mean the gods and goddesses who took birth are all brothers and sisters and married each other? That's absurd.

The spark of the idea kind of make sense: if two kids were suckled and raised by the same wetnurse (at the same time), they are likely to have a sibling relationship even if they are not biologically related. Nursing and rearing kids is biologically and emotionally intimate, and if it was anything like in European cultures that practiced wetnursing, the children likely ended up emotionally bonding with their wetnurse rather than their distant mother. I could see people who grow up like this instinctively feeling revulsed at the thought of marrying each other and developing a cultural norm that foster siblings count as relatives. Kind of like how in modern society, marrying an adopted sibling is still considered incest.
Of course, once you write that down and turn it into a rule where it is more important to follow the letter than the spirit, you end up with nonsense like this.

As a Hindu, boundaries between men and women are very important. In our Hindu culture, you can't have any sexual relationships with a man, if you consider him a brother( and vice-versa). The women tie a rakhi/raksha sutra or red thread in the presence of God, to whoever we might consider brothers once every year, to get gifts and brotherly protection in return.
We Hindus strictly believe in the Gotra system where you cannot marry a person, related to you for 7-11 generations, this gotra passes from a son to a son. Daughters get the gotra of their husbands after marriage, but stay in the father's gotra before marriage. Even adoptees get the gotra of their adopted fathers.
But as all religions, we have our own rotten apples as well, there are many cases where brothers/sisters don't respect the sanctity of rakhi, if public, they are severely ostracized and if not, they would even continue for lives.
My only concern as not Hindu woman, but a Human and fellow sister is for every Muslim/Christian/Hindu/Jew/Buddhist/Jain/Sikh and others, please don't keep mum about se*ual assaults. Expose those people who are behind it. Break all shackles of outdated religious principles, believe and do good, everything will be fine.

After the death of Khadija it became about lust and war. polygyny and conquest became the path.
