I wish you had used a different camera angle. A lot of what you were trying to show the camera could not be seen because it was out of frame. You should not have to tighten the hose nut that much. A rubber washer between the fitting and hose would've taken out the slack without having to tighten it so much. All the threads are plastic and can be easily stripped by over tightening. Those hose connections are meant to be hand tight only.
I've seen this upgrade before... but, thanks for showing me a tool I can now get! That chain thingy you used to tighten the hose on was awesome... gotta get me one of those! And its called a what??? I would not use it to tighten the hose though... I think you over tightened it but thats just me.
It's an oil filter chain wrench. Yes, they severely over tightened this. It is intended to be done by hand and should have a rubber gasket inside that forms a water tight seal with minimal pressure.
