Fans from both DEG/Sukekiyo/Kyo and MUCC rolling our eyes *hard* at people who can't appreciate or at least respect two legendary bands from completely different music genres
Haven't listened to Gerbera in forever and decided to back-to-back listen to this for comparison. Pretty par for the course until 3:42 aaaand there's Kyo. Nice.
And here I am, liking both MUCC and Diru for completely different reasons, and witnessing the two fandoms shitting on each other... 🙈 Diru is a genius progressive band and some of their tracks are straight up masterpieces. Kyo is a musical and poetic genius. But sometimes you just want to listen to songs that are a bit lighter on the ear while also high quality. Some of MUCC songs remind me of the early, kind of pop rockish Diru songs, and some are completely different, in their distinct style, almost Balkan-inspired sometimes. Other songs are these very emotional ballads. We should consider it enriching to be able to hear two completely different interpretations of the same song. I love the original, and this cover is like a deconstruction, it's interesting and it'll probably grow on me.

From 3:41, it's basically repeating the last 2 lines of lyrics in different styles, if you listen carefully. One part of the lyrics was never sung in this cover version.

My buddy saw MUCC live I respect their shit despite being a huge DEG head but I wouldn't call Kyo's version shitty nor would I call MUCC shitty some you people just like to pick a side cuz you can't float in the middle.

I would even go so far to say that they are one of the best rock bands of the last 20 years in the whole world

原曲に自分色をどれだけ乗せるか、本来カバーってこうあるべき。素晴らしい。
ほぼ原曲のまま演奏してカラオケ状態になってるのも一つの形だろうが、それを「原曲へのリスペクトを感じる」とか言ってるコメントの多さよ。
こんだけイジったら愛がないとか感じる了見の狭さ、嘆かわしい。
音楽なんだから音を楽しんだもの勝ちだろうよ。
