People spend thousands on the tank and coral and then freak when they see that someone adds 10 small doses of elements daily. 😂 Another win for Moonshiner Method. Only problem is how fast the corals grow.
Holy Smokes what a amazing tank and setup. I love his dedication to his Corals. How impressive. I noticed even you were taken back with this Reef. Awsome 💜🐟💜
Amazing job here Jon when you see this comment, you really making me now as well thinking going bare bottom ;-) Keep up this amazing work! Congrats to be showcased here by WWC, well deserved!
They say old habits die hard, there’s too many old school reefers saying it’s impossible to start a successful reef tank with dry rock. Love seeing a video like this to prove them wrong. I too have started a new tank with dry rock and couldn’t disagree more with their silly hypothesis.
Yes I take holidays. About to take two trips now back to back. Dosing of the elements can take a brake for vacations. The moonshiners hand book tells you how to handle vacations.
Beautiful corals. Have been working on similar stuff with reef blue print less powders to mix. Just sent out for ms icp tests so i can check si f lithium and sulfur better. Belive fluoride is a key trace element. Have heard there are ratios between fluoride nickel and iodine😊
I now see the difference with people that have OCD their tanks are amazing and guys like me who have OBCD and are lazy with the tanks. I need to step up my game 😂
This isn't a particularly fair representation though. He's been in the hobby 7 years and had a previous tank. He didn't grow all those corals in 8 months most of them will have come out of his old tank along with some of the rock. It's not all down to additives and you don't need them to achieve this.
If you're referring to the tang, clownfish & octopus wall art. You can purchase them at either "thereefindy" if you reside in United States or alternatively "reklawreef"
She’s a beaut, Clark! Well done! 👍
A lot of time and care goes into that baby!!! 😯
Victor face 😂 after he says more than 30 lol that’s why I only do water changes simple!!!
😂😂
KIS for me all day long as well! I used to do the DSR (Dutch Synthetic Reefing) method back in the day & I still have PTSD from it 😅
This reef is for the Olympics!!! Hands down most healthy coral on RUclips
The new reefing event of the olympics
Great job, beautiful setup.

Love it as always I’m in the middle reefing could never do the moonshiners I like it simple. Love the inspiration of what others are doing.
It is so nice to see what others in the hobby are doing!

Most of our display tanks(almost all of them) were set up with dry rock. It may take a little longer to stabilize, but we have no issues with it.
@@WorldWideCorals I think it’s the way to go, just don’t try and convince the old timers! 🤣
I started with dry rock...E-marco...Will admit it. It was hard at first. But eventually everything started settling in nicely.
@@rt50fishing started my tank with dry rock, so far so good 👌🏼
@@ninetysnano6071 Facts. Don't get me wrong went thru a few hard patches with algea etc..But well worth it at the end of the day. 👌
The tank is superb, no doubt about that. But the only thing I can think about when I watch this video is holidays. Does this guy even take a day off?
It is dedication for sure

Good God! You should see my 8 month old tank....lol
Nice work!
🙌🙌
Moonshiners seems like so much work
It is work for sure but some reefers like to be very methodical

Im thinking potassium is a key element because just like us and plants it hydrates the coral and keeps it from bleaching, just a thought😂
I'm working hard on my tank, hoping to make it to the meticulous club!!! I hope that one day WWC comes to my house
Take photos for us when it is ready!! 🤗🤗

Thought Fluoride was a correctional dosage supplement, not a daily? 🤔
It's a daily
Read the hand book it will explain everything
