I've been watching a lot of videos of the D'Jeeco family. Poor Shabani. All I can say is I live for the day Shabani and Tayari get in an enclosure together. 💞
Great video. Gorilla males, actually most primate males prefer older, mature females. That’s why questions like “why won’t the zookeepers give…a young mate, or …needs a young mate to get excited” are uninformed. It’s probably a learned survival behavior. Studies on captive gorillas show even though they reach sexual maturity, it may take several more years to successfully impregnate. The females are similar and need years to develop the ability to birth healthy babies. I doubt Nene or Toto are still fertile but the males still keep trying especially Haoko!
Haoko like his dad is just a horny bugger. The males like mature females ( not old like Nene) because they make good mother's. There is an exception with younger females ( D'jeeco troop) are very interesting to observe, Tayari is wild one who takes sex to a level I've never seen.🤭
lol. sure. She is not mature she is ancient. She has a single tooth. But she runs this family because she dominates the only other mature female. It is a sad sad pathetic situation they have created here.
If I had one wish for my very handsome Shabani , it would be to give him 3 more wife’s so he could have more babies Kiyomasa and the beautiful Annie are getting to be older and time to move on, (Shabani will not like this what so ever he loves his babies and I hope it will not hurt him by not eating or just outright make him upset that he just breaks down),!!! I understand it takes a lot of money to feed them and money to make a bigger enclosure but I just can see Shabani being happy without any babies around him 🥺😢😭. I just love how he is a great dad and playmate for them and he does his job as a silverback by keeping order in the family.. ❤❤
Besides Shabs being sooo handsome, he is a wonderful father. They won't be able to bring in a new female for him, Ai is it & I pray with all my heart when Nene dies, he will have a baby with my beautiful gal Ai & they will live happily ever after.😘 Dreams are free.🤔

It’s so sweet how Shabani nibbles on her little gorilla toes. She just looks so tiny to me compared to Shabani. It’s s so cute that he still show affection to Nene.
When I made a comment on this I thought Shabani was nibbling on Nene’s toes but I rewatched today and I see I made a huge mistake. It was Kiyo! Opps! I am very embarrassed to make such a silly mistake.
I wish Momotaro had some other young girls to be affectionate with. Shabani is affectionate and plays with his whole family. Poor Nene's arthritis bothers her when the others try to play with her. She is such a great granny!
Momo is a dumb dumb when it comes to mating!! Total dumb dumb!! He simply doesn’t know what or how to do it. You might think, well he’s got two boys but they were the ONLY successes. And even then Genki had to do all the work. 😂😂😂😂😂 Now if you’re wanting silverback that sssumes position and stands there he’s your man. And he seems to think Genki’s vajaja is smack in the middle of her back!! But he has been to just lay on Genki’s back when she is on all fours, trying to bump him off, but hell no!! He thinks she is his personal bucking bronco, as she goes round and round!! 🤣🤣🤣 And he has not one cell of natural instinct in that body. Not one cell. However, he has no trouble diddling Kintaro, then mounting him. It’s really rather pathetic! There are some wires crossed in that body for sure!!!

She felt jealous and betrayed by both her husband and daughter. Everything become worse because AI is under her control. She will do whatever her mother wants, include abandoned Annie and rejecting to mating with Shabani. Everything will change in this troops when this grandma will died.
Shabani is very lonely & needs some loving, it's been awhile since he got any, I don't think he is interested in Nene, just likes to mess with her head, like Annie does. He will always Rock.....💛✨✌️

Nene is 52 years old only gorilla in that troop to be born in the wild. She is a western African gorilla. they dont have an exact birthday. Kiyo is her son by Shabani. By human standards she would be in her 80's and with aging there is arthritis to the joints, perhaps hands and hips. He lip drooping is part of aging. I adore her. She is so intelligent, petite and elderly but she holds her own. She and Shabani have a long history of love. And family disputes but love is the foundation of this family.

Not sure if this is accurate. I heard gorillas check the butt to indicate health. I was thinking how dogs can detect illness. Perhaps that is the case with gorillas. I try not to humanize gorillas. they are their own species thought they share 98% of human genes.

Kiyo is trying to mate with anything that moves. Shabani has seen him trying to mate with all the females. If you knew what happened a few months ago you might understand why Shabs is not discipling his son.✌️ A different video from 2 days ago is what I'm talking about.

And Genki is far too old, and no it in the best health. Her days of “fertility” are over, but she could be in heat, but unable to conceive.
Generally the females only give birth 1-2 x per decade, usually every 4-6 years.

No it's not fair on his children. It's too hard to find mates in Japan, so many of the gorillas are related 😢
