First heard this after I got outta the US Army back in '69...the band rocked my soul then and even now as I close in on age 80...
In VERY loving memory of Mr. Paul Butterfield (1942 - 1987 R.I.P. // Gone but NOT forgotten)
The Blues doesn't get any better than when Paul Butterfield and Michael Bloomfield played together...
Mike Bloomfield left us too soon.
1981 at the age of 37. Heard the news
after a local gig with my HS band.
Sad news.
MB is an American guitar hero.
God, I miss Bloomers and Butterfield!!! Mike was a virtuoso guitar player and could pretty much play many genres of music including Raga. Paul Butterfield was a virtuoso harmonica player and front man!! RIP my musical brothers, and thanks for showing us the way!!!!
Paul Butterfield one of the best harp players ever, with Mike Bloomfield one of the best guitar players ever... hell yeah... all God’s children got the blues!
Thanks great to see Paul and Mike live two of the best
God, these guys were GREAT.
I am in awe of these 2 greats!!
As a harp player I love the first 20 seconds...Paul trying to find the right harp for the key from a pile. Been there, done that.
Mike Bloomfield and Paul Butterfield are two legends. Legitimate heirs of the blues.
Break on through...the doors inspiration song
The more I see of these guys the more blown away I am. I grew up loving Johnny WINTER but I'm so happy that theres more to see and hear (I've really become a chris cain and Walter trout fan among others) I almost forgot gary moore!
Yes,Yes,Yes. Thanks so much. Glad to see Butterfield live on. What a great showman and player.
I was there. it was fun
I first discovered Paul Butterfield through the albumn " in my own dream " ... exquisite stuff ... he epitomises for me american blues ... a genius in a genius style of music
Great Duo Mike Bloomfield guitar and Paul Butterfly Harmónic , Hight level The Blues 🎸🎹🥁🎸
Raw blues at it`s best ! Thanks !
Paul Butterfields band have the best recorded version of this song in existence imho
Good but prefer Fleetwood Mac's ( the proper Mac with Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer).
Robby Krieger, Break on Through, brought me here.
Thank you.
Wow, that is SO much better than the recordings I've seen of the first reunion gig. Bloomfield actually shows up on this one. Much better audio and video too. Thanks for posting this.
Butterfild was a great man Hope to see you on the other side
BRILLIANT !
Truly the greatest
COOL 👍♥️👏
Bravo
La nostalgia es dura. Muy cruel!!!
Interesting how Bloomfield doesn't stick close to Elmore James' ideas in the solo section.
👍
I saw them live & wonder what would 'autotune' would have done to this?
Okay the venue was at
I believe they later hung out and on with the mighty J Geils band...dear lawdy is the grand 👌
