Thank you so much for putting the oil and milk pie crust on youtube. As a child in a large family, my Mama use to make pies using the oil and milk pie crust and roll the dough out between 2 sheets of wax paper. And she made lots of pies for the family. I never ask her for the measurements and has not been able to make a crust using oil and milk because I didn't know the measurements. She passed and I didn't have the recipe for the crust; I figured some of her sisters would know. So I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting the milk and oil crust on RUclips.

@@starszasiostra6410 I have no idea, I’ve never done it. Seems like that much butter would be really rich. Also butter solidifies and oil doesn’t, so it will definitely affect the end result. Linda I have watched your pie crust videos over and over. When I was a young teenager in the middle 60's I remember my Gram was so excited when she saw frozen pie crust in the grocery store. Hi Linda! I enjoyed your walking us through the various steps of this simple recipe. Thank you for the beautiful Christmas music that was playing in the background. That was truly comforting! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe with us. It warmed my heart to hear you mention how your Mom used to bake Lemon Meringue Pie for your dad because he liked it so much! I had this recipe for pie crust years ago from a good friend and was looking for it again. Thanks! Her recipe used Crisco and you melted the Crisco and added it to the milk and beat it with an electric beater. Perfect every time. I will try yours! Merry Christmas
ethel newberry I have the very old Betty Crocker cookbook, it has an oil pie crust recipe similar to this with water instead of milk. I’m lazy so I mix the ingredients right in the pie plate with my fingers and press it into shape. So no rolling and no bowl to wash.

Thank you for sharing, reminds me what my mother did, and always came out beautiful. However she'd never share her recipes. I will give this a go, and let you know how it went. Not a very experienced cook, wanted to make something my family to enjoy. Again thank you
My mama used to use the wax paper method for rolling out pie crust with no flour and I do, too. Also, she used to flute her crusts by simply pinching it between her thumb and forefinger, which I also do. It makes a nice sort of angled flute. Her crusts didn't taste as good as yours, though. So I am going to use your easy recipe and finishing method. Perfection. Thank you!

I finished your video and went straight to kitchen and made 2 batches of dough, and opened a big can of pumpkin, and made two pies. Sitting here as I type munching it with a big dollop of whip cream. It is delicious. The crust is great. This is my go to crust from now on. So easy to make. And it's no fail. Husband really likes it. Many Thanks to you for taking the time to give us guidance for an easy and great tasting crust.... God Bless you and yours and keep you safe.
Mary....Happy Thanksgiving!! I made an apple pie last night using this recipe. When I watched the original video making this pie crust she was making 8" pies.....hardly anyone makes 8" pies these days. Usually 9" pies are made by most and I found this too skimpy for a 2 crust 9" pie so this is how I increased it: 3 cups flour, 1-1/4 tsp. salt, 3/4 cups oil and 1/4 + 1/8 cups milk.....just a heads up if you also found this a little shy of what you need for a 2 crust pie....have a great day tomorrow!! TFW God Bless, Linda
Thank you Linda. After many failed attempts throughout the years at pie crust making I’ve finally found one that doesn’t “work me” and I actually can say yessss I really made it!!! So happy you shared this recipe‼️😋
You are amazing!!!!! I adore this video!!!! Great job on your crust!! When I first started making my own pie crusts the hardest thing for me was learning they will not be perfect you will have to patch it grom time to time you will have to start over from time to time its all about practice the more you make the easier it becomes but even the worst looking crust still tastes amazing and then time to time you get lucky and get a crust that looks beautiful its best to try different recipes and figure out what works best for you!!! Places that have higer humidity may nit require so much water verses places that are dryer may require a little more I did try this crust out and it worked well my family didnt even notice i had changed anything so it does work it is easy and it tastes wonderful!!!!! Have a blessed day id love to see you make a blackberry cobbler!!!!! Thank you for this video!!

Hi Patricia, I know you'll be fine with this crust but please let me know how it comes out for you. TFW God bless!!
Thanks so much for this fairly stress-free pie crust! It's really really easy by watching how you make it. Thanks once again and God bless you, granny.
Brilient and so relaxing, love the whole video. Gary From England UK
Just found this and I can only say : THIS IS THE BEST!! No chilling in the fridge or cold butter (I can't afford butter) no wrapping in plastic wrap which make alot of waste. I made a coconut cream pie today, it is suprisingly great!! 💖 oh well might have to do extra excercise lol
Get started!
I can't wait to try this!!! I've never been to make a decent crust and gave up trying many years ago. Loved your video! Thanks!
This is so easy to make and so worth it. I don't anticipate any problems for you or anyone who hasn't been able to make a good pie crust. TFW God Bless, Linda
I will try this recipe today. I will be filling the crust with apples. I love your voice. It is so calming. You are a very good teacher. My Mom was an excellent baker and cook. Those were the good old days with many fond memories. Happy New Year!

These things all over my kitchen , the cookies and pie didn’t last long my brothers in law came by almost every day and ate pie and filled up pockets with cookies ,must have been good of their mom.ha,ha she also showed
Me how to make peanut butter brittle. I’ve never been a cook or baker, but my kids are grown with families

Did you blind bake the pie first? Or just vent the bottom with a fork & added your pie filling?
XOXO thx for sharing this, a amish lady here taught me a recipe very simular to yours there. I had to ask this amish lady for her recipe because she sold pies at a Amish Bake Stand that was in front of my families ceramic store all the time and man this one pecan pie she makes sold me on her pie crust. Happy baking darling

Really liking the results I’m getting using your videos. Thank you, Miss Linda
Thank you Sheila I'm happy you've found my videos useful!! TFW God bless Linda
I just put my very first pie in the oven thanks for the pie crust tutorial.
Hands That Cook thank you and you enjoy your Thanksgiving
Thanks dear. It definitely sounds stress free!! Bless you!!
TY TFW God bless!
Thank you! I have never seen that one! I can 't wait to try that one!
I use this recipe when I don't feel like using the longer method....it works just fine. The taste is good but it isn't as flaky as the real thing. TFW and commenting. God Bless, Linda
