I have never seen a driver literally adjusting his settings through both corners.. every. single. lap. When he was in traffic, and then open track he was adjusting his car to try to get every mph out of it. Cant give him enough credit for how hard he was trying and his car was by the far the fastest that last 30-40 laps.
It’s exceptionally low. They have consistently asked some of the dumbest question over the last few years. It makes the sport look almost as bad as the playoffs and chase have.
Blaney is a class act and a great teammate plus a champion himself. I’m sorry but I think Joey earned this championship, he won 3 of the 10 playoff races. Everyone had a chance to beat him and be in the final 4 but they didn’t so its fair and square. Champs 22
Something about Blaney is different these last few races. His Eyes. His face. His mannerisms. It's almost like he's sick and hasn't told anyone yet. Gollie I pray I'm wrong.
He didn't lose. He just didn't win. You can't talk about a top four driver "losing" in the lottery that the NASCAR points system has become. Instant (empty) gratification. "In it to win it" and all that, but, to determine the champion based on the outcome of a single race is trivial to me. Whoop dee doo.
Yeah but it's way more fun than watching 3 cars fight for 10 weeks just to crown a champion 3 races early. That was killing the sport alot more than changing the cars.
@@chucklove6085 Yeah, I can't quantify or explain it, but it just feels like a game show now. Manufactured vs. earned drama. Like when Jimmie Johnson kind fluked out and won that one year. Out of seemingly nowhere. Imagine if the final four race was a plate race? Could anyone feel satisfaction after that roll of the dice?
@@Cconkyy Yes, of course. That's the cream there at the top by all means. I don't know, I think it must be the elimination and reset aspect that I balk at. In drag racing, it's obvious. Lose and you are out. But NASCAR always left room for hope, however futile. The season long grind meant every point counted toward the final outcome. No resetting the clock and cutting teams off. "We're going to throw away all results before now and make the four cars even. Who ever finishes ahead wins the whole pie." This sounds too close to "It's the super special final bonus round with points so high anyone can win! The whole show leading up to now means nothing!" Again, think of the final four race being at Daytona. There is something about that crapshoot aspect that feels wrong. I'll be the first to admit I'm full of it. but there is a manufactured game show aspect that reveals a triviality. It used to feel earned over the entire season, now it's (often) a fluke.
@badad0166 manufactured excitement is still exciting .. they're competing with football season start.. a season long championship is boring and for many people who's drivers wouldn't have a chance would atop watching and eventually the sport would die
I wouldn’t expect this level of intelligence from Hendrick and Chevy, but Larson and Byron should have let him by. Let the teammates fight each other for the win, at a minimum making them use up their stuff and at a maximum they take each other out.
He prob was disappointed, I mean trying that hard to only be short cuz you just need like 2 or 3 more laps, everyone saw he had a way faster car but that's why it's a race with a finish line. That's part of the reason "overtime" just completely defeats the purpose of it being a race to the finish line. If someone running 3 laps behind would've wrecked, well you all know what would've happened, we wouldve had another Austin Dillon win 😆🤣
Monotone, weird questions. What is going on at nascar media , how do you ask the question " do you enjoy losing?" rub it in and get away with it. No class media .

Blaney a clean driver an he almost got us his second championship so proud to call him my favorite
Ryan Blaney is the People’s Champion, Joey is Nascars champion…….. heck of a drive Ryan just will have to get them next time!
Blame Hendrick
They must set the bar pretty low for obtaining press credentials.
It’s exceptionally low. They have consistently asked some of the dumbest question over the last few years. It makes the sport look almost as bad as the playoffs and chase have.
Lol it's Nascar so prob 110% there's so many people that have no idea who Ryan Blaney even is, just not as popular as a sport.
If you're upset that Joey won, blame Hendrick.
That's a fact
Joey's the best!

How is blaney always soo good on the long runs?
Saves his tires
Hell of a season Blaney! Dumb all the questions are about Joey.
Because he won!
Bob pockrass with the dumb questions

Good old saying would have could have been should have it wasn't lagano three times I love it and I'm not even hey Joey fan I'm Hendrix all their cars

I’ve been there. Its called nerves. Not eating not sleeping. It can take a serious toll on your body.
CTE
@@miketag7541 what is CTE?
@@marclewis1199 agreed. I hope that's all it is 🙏
@@miketag7541I wouldn't say CTE but he has taken huge hits the past 2 years. Wouldn't surprise me is he's been dealing with concussion issues.

If Blaney didn't get help up by Larson, I think he would have caught Logano earlier and would've won the race & championship
Blaney is a true Champion. He will win championship again. He is headed to the Hall of Fame
Blaney will be there again
He still seems spent. Go #12
Blaney said a naughty word. Don't tell Max Verstappen.
What a weird press conference...
Nothing to hang your head about you did a great job and it was obvious you worked your ass off trying to get there I was pulling for both of you
Yea for Joey!
He was a good car length behind. Wtf right on his bumper😂😂😂
Is Monday morning you be okay cry in your soup
No, he got there! He was several seconds back and got within a tenth but Logano blocked well and he fell back some.

SVG gonna win next year heard it first

Blaney was deserving - Logano was not
Sorta true, I don't think Logano is undeserving, but Blaney literally raced his butt off, I don't think any driver was trying harder than Blaney
"Clean team" orders kept him from winning. Ryan knows how to move cars.@RW-zh7kl
