I know this video is quite old now, but still so many of you are coming in and finding it and it genuinely makes me really glad. This track means lots to me and you all sharing the love of it just makes me know that the time I've dedicated to music production has been worth it. Stay cool.
You wouldnt believe what kind of emotional roller coaster this song is for me, FF3 for the DS was my first game of the franchise and will always be one of my top 3.
I love this track, I played FF3 on the DS when it came out, I got to the Crystal tower, the final area is ridiculously hard. But I love that game. Now like 10 years later I beat FFxiv shadowbringers, and it was great to revisit the Crystal tower in a wholly new perspective. This track means even more to me now.
> "This track means lots to me" Me too, man. This song and the intro cutscene on the DS changed my entire life, I think. Thank you for this fun version of the song!
Hell yea, I'm right there with you. That cutscene did such wonders for my imagination and yearning for adventure; I'd find myself re-watching it almost every time I'd boot it up - sometimes more than once in a row! I'm glad you appreciate this rendition anyway, thank you
I didn't realize they played this song for the Crystal Tower arch in FFXIV until I rewatched it. And then they played it again for SHB. It's so good! So much feels ;__;
holy shit yes. I just had the ultimate nostalgia flashback and this song was in my head i instantly thought "damn, a lofi mix of it would be so precious" and here it is, the hidden gem. i freaking love it. thanks dude
@@RoySamuelClark you do it very well. It keeps the composition interesting and not monotonous like other remixes. Also adds more ambience which is amazing. Keep it up! I’d love if you tired some vagrant story ones
Right next to the original Prelude from FF1, this is my favorite song. It sets the mood of FF3 fantastically and gives me the feeling of "A grand adventure awaits, and this is YOUR quest. So go forth, and fulfill your role as the Warriors of Wind."
God I forgot how much of a vibe this was. Glad I saved it in a playlist 😂 this is easing my workday for sure ❤❤❤ Eternal Wind has never really been one of my favorite world map songs but this version does it for me
so i didn't really grow up with games, and have only in the past few years been exposed to the final fantasy series (VIII being the first i really connected with). i never played III and only have the vaguest idea of its story? but i'm more well versed in the series now, and i play XIV pretty regularly. after hitting current patch content after shadowbringers (well over a year ago), i started looking for music to have in the background--not just for grinding but for writing and working in general. i came across your mix one day, and it has had a special place in several of my playlists ever since. i cannot describe just how beautiful this piece is; you have done *such* an incredible job with it. i will literally just put it on repeat and be happy for hours. i also want to say that i love so many of your other mixes as well (close in the distance is another of my favorites, but honestly your style is exactly my kind of vibe for lo-fi), and it's clear just how much you love your craft--and you handle the themes from the older final fantasies in a way that makes me feel nostalgia for games i don't really know. i think that's pretty cool. i felt that since i've listened to this one so much, i should leave the comment here. please keep up the amazing work, and whenever it comes out i will excitedly tune in for your next mix
Wow, what an amazing comment to receive, at 4AM no less, haha. Seriously though, thank you, it's an honour to have listeners like you. I've always wanted to try and preserve a type of nostalgia with my reimaginations of these tracks, and this is an affirmation that I am capable of doing so. I can always appreciate good background music for writing, or drawing, so knowing my tracks are used for stuff like that is a great flattery. You are a fan of XIV too, so, if you haven't already heard of them, please look up Pokari - Crimson Sunset. Pokari is a great artist that also rearranges XIV music, and I use their stuff for background music a lot. Thank you again. Also FFVIII respect, it was my first FF game.
Oh man I love your tunes man! This is going on repeat! I love it. As a FF fan and admirer of the soundtracks I tip my hat off to you (If I had a hat...)
I loooooove graha, I feel kind of like it has become his theme. It gets me every time a cutscene plays with him in and that morose piano rendition plays in the background. Thanks for the comment!
Can we get this on Soundcloud? I'm so happy to hear one of my favorite video game songs get love, especially in a Lofi remix! You have talent for sure. This is very smooth and mellow. And have a great taste in songs to boot.
Thank you very very much! Sorry, but I don't have a SoundCloud, however if I continue to make covers like this I may ask Square-Enix if I can put them on Spotify
I'd be perfectly okay with it, but there's always the risk of the video featuring this getting claimed by the copyright police. The chances of that are reeeeally slim though! I do own the licencing rights to use the music and am happy to let you use it, however there is still that risk. Thought I'd let you know!
Thank you! Unfortunately I can't charge for it as I don't own the original composition and I made this cover without SE's permission. If I made money from it then I could get in trouble. I can let you download it for free though, I'll make a link for you

I'm flattered you would ask, but it is unlikely, sorry. However, I am considering putting together a full album of FF songs in this style for people to chill out and listen to, if I can get permission from Square of course
Would you be cool with me using this as an outro for my FFXIV RUclips content (my FC is called Eternal Wind, so naturally I named the channel that as well)... Of course I'd credit you in the description with a link to this video. Just thought I'd ask. Looking to make short FFXIV guides and fun clips.
