Es maravillosa esta cantante me siento muy bien al oir su tema sleepeng satelite❤ mi sueño de conocerla en persona en algun lugar del mundo simplemente inigualable...es un angel para mi❤
❤I really miss the 1990s when I hear this song. It was an epic time for me to teach myself how to play the guitar and sing. Each song was food. Today I am in a recovery phase
I know the feeling. I was on the road when it come out and heard it on the radio. As a former musician / composer of the same style, the music caught my attention, mind and soul. 👍 She has so many other greatly arranged tracks also. Thx Tasmin.
There's a sort of dryness to her voice that I've always liked. I can't explain it, like a soft dry wind. I also liked Effect Is Monotony, though I was always sad she didn't get all the recognition that she deserved.
To think this was broadcast 30 years ago tomorrow (at 14:00 on 25 December on BBC1 to be precise)... This was the first Christmas that I had NICAM digital stereo - it sounded awesome on headphones. Tasmin Archer was by far my favorite of this year - such a refreshing change from all of the techno and 80s-era artists of the time.
She was probably the only artist to sing live on Top of the Pops. None of them did at that time. The band isn't playing, but at least she is singing LIVE. What a voice!
@@kanervatie I can prove to you the band are miming, it's a tiny but important detail that most people miss, but trust me on this... .... The drum kit isn't mic'd
Yeah great voice awesome song always loved this remember getting the cd single at the time! Loads of artists have actually sung live on pops before from Whitney Houston to Marti Pellow
19 years old when this came out. It stopped me dead in my tracks every time I heard it on radio or sec the video clip. I would stop whatever I was doing and pay 100% attention to it because it spoke to me in a way I can’t even begin to explain. It just seemed “significant” like Stairway To Heaven or something. It always said more than the words did. It’s so great to see I’m not alone.
Oh man, vocal fry gets so ridiculously overdone. Here, it's like seasoning on a great plate of food, giving the song a subtle enhancement, rather than overpowering it.
Wonderful, powerful, accurate voice; damn pretty; classy and not slutty. 👍👍👍🌹. Unfortunately this talent, as others, goes unrecognized by the uneducated mass. As a former musician and composer the music captivates me however I find the lyrics quite intriguing also. 👍 Hella good job Miss Tasmin Archer. I would love 2 meet, sit and ponder this. 🌹
Ive been trying to think of this song since the late 90s and it finally popped up in a truckstops satellite radio today ❤ Something about it always stuck with me.
Wonderful and underestimate voice, such a pity. Here in south Brazil, I heard this beautiful song in the acoustic MTV version in the early 90's. Great song, great songstress and great composer.
"The dream that died with the EAGLES FLIGHT" The Eagle was Apollo 11 - july 1969 commanded by Astronaut Neil Armstrong R.I.P. Sir- you meant well and sent a message of peace from us.. Unfortunately - like Tasmin said- that dream died after the eagles flight...sad
i heard on a playlist at work, i went to check the tittle I never knew who sang that, i was too young to know last time I heard it hehe felt so nostalgic too
One of the greatest songs ever. Highly underappreciated. So full of wisdom. A true masterpiece. Gives me chills every time.
💯
I love her raspy voice - really good song
"Sleeping Satellite" was on a whole different level from other pop songs of the time. Powerful and haunting.
Powerful and haunting is correct.

One of my favourite ever songs. Beautiful song.
I love this song, beautiful and haunting.❤
By far, one of the greatest songs of the 1990s
She sounds even better live, real talent
❤I really miss the 1990s when I hear this song. It was an epic time for me to teach myself how to play the guitar and sing. Each song was food. Today I am in a recovery phase
This song literally popped in my head out of nowhere. I've missed this song ❤
Christie Lynn mine too!
Same happened to me too a week ago
Excellent

Can't be beaten for that rasp part of her voice, and many other vocal expressions. Definitely one of the best singer in the world!

@@thegreenmanofnorwich Definately!
This is thinking persons music, extremely sophisticated, beautifully crafted music and lyrics.
2021. Anyone still here?
Always a notification away 😉
Love her voice, it's unique and perfect for the song.
hey look, pop music used to have lyrics with more than three words, bring back 90's
2020 under lockdown and just discovering this live version. Brilliant. You just don't get songs like this anymore.
This song still gives me chills

pure goosebumps !!!!what a great song

pocodfe Kurt Cobain, James Dean Bradfield etc... hundreds of singers performed live vocals with a miming band around that time
@@drexlspivey5828 This wasn't a miming band. They actually played.

She sounds incredible.
С детства люблю эту песню. Именно в исполнении Тасмин. Необыкновенная.

Absolutely freaking flawless...this is vocal fry done RIGHT. I swear she has the prettiest timbre 💜💜💜💜🌟

Great vocal
Great live performance!
❤❤ AT SINGER WITH A VOCAL FEELING UNIQUE TASMIN IS REALLY GOOD❤❤
Great live performance, no auto tune like today, 👍
Damn, her first album ""Great Expectations"" is a masterpiece. Still sounds fresh after all those years.
My favourite song x
This song never gets old, what an amazing voice she has
It's one of the greatest songs in 1992 !
So glad this is Live. It's a song that needs the honesty of a live performance
Such an amazing song. Left your mark on earth tasmin.
A M A Z I N G VOICE!!!
i like this song a lot
Holy crap, her live voice is *just as perfect* as the studio version. Wish we would have heard more from her
Some others by her: in your care, the higher you climb, when comes down to it, somebody's daughter, lords of the new church
This beauty never dies !
Absolutely spot on live performance! Great vocals just like the record and before autotune! Love this song and I'm not surprised it was no. 1
What a beautiful song, and what a beautiful voice!
Happy times
Now I can't get this out of my head....I don't mind too much though😊
This awesome grind in her voice is fantastic !!!!
We really wasn't ready for this and did not appreciate at the time.

Very nice. Tasmin has been very good singer.
what an absolutely fantastic live performance. Superb!! Hope you know youre appreciated Tasmin...
Still get chills from this. What a voice.
Мало кто пел в те года в живую. Респект Тасмин, очень красивый голос.
I've never heard her singing playback, in no TV show... Only live vocals
What a voice, still listening in 2018
One of the few to sing live, remember this was the time that they practically all playbacked on TOTP
Actually most of the performances on this Christmas 1992 show featured live singing.
Maravillosa!!!❤❤❤
Ive been trying to think of this song since the late 90s and it finally popped up in a truckstops satellite radio today ❤ Something about it always stuck with me.
Love this song 😊 takes me back to the early 90’s my favourite time in life..

Totally wasted on the typical ToTP audience. Fabulous song and singer.
Still, a live performance of this gem. I keep coming back to this.

Me too!
I was nearly 13.
Quanti ricordi in questa canzone magica❤️
Someone in another stream of this song wrote it best-"This song should be in the 'Never Cover' list."
"The dream that died with the EAGLES FLIGHT"
The Eagle was Apollo 11 - july 1969
commanded by Astronaut Neil Armstrong
R.I.P. Sir-
you meant well and sent a message of peace from us..
Unfortunately - like Tasmin said-
that dream died after the eagles flight...sad
Very few know what this song is actually about. So glad you do!
Amazing talant
singing it for real! good on you Tasmin!
They recently put this into rotation on SiriusXM 90s on 9. I wasn't expecting this nostalgia trip today!!
i heard on a playlist at work, i went to check the tittle I never knew who sang that, i was too young to know last time I heard it hehe felt so nostalgic too
Oh, to go back to the 90s, and then the 80s, 70s and 60s, when life was normal. Fast forward to 2020 and the whole world is fucked!!
i feel you :(
Best live performance 😲
