I really like your videos and your analysis is thoughtful and helpful to the speculator and collector alike. I like Contest of Champions as a long term spec, not only for potential MCU upward pressure on the value, but also because of its historical significance it demands a place on the shelf of any collector of Marvel comics. Jeff Goldblum being brought back as GrandMaster for the Thor What If? episode would seem to consolidate his success as an MCU character (as well as give credibility to the rumor you shared about the CoC What If? season finale). More importantly, CoC is the pre-Secret Wars Secret Wars. It's the blueprint for what I think would be the best choice of epic marvel events for the MCU to develop. Secret Wars. I wouldn't be surprised if elements of CoC were incorporated into the Secret Wars narrative to make it screen friendly and more palatable for an audience beyond (pun intended) comic consumers. Thank you for your efforts in finding true spec comic books and providing your reasons why you consider it a book to look out for. I noticed some youtube comic book commentators show books that they consider spec after it is already known and expensive. It's too late to act and spec when everyone knows a character or trailer will be announced. 👏
Hi Michael Agreed. It's too late once the comic is already on a top 10 hot comics list. Not everything I speculated about gets hot. But a lot do. And they all started out cheap.

@@MisterMiracleComics I collected as a kid in the 80’s and early 90’s and sold off about half my collection when I was in college in the late 90’s. I started collecting again last year and my focus is replacing those awesome Copper Age books I loved as a kid.

Hi Neil I don't watch other Speculation comic Channels very often. I like Newbie Comics for newer Speculation comics, hes better at the newer stuff than I am. Other than him, most channels have obvious picks or copy me anyway. I don't think many are very good at this. I think they think Speculation is easy, its hard. I just make it look easy.
Since Thanos was an Eternal (first cousin of Thena), I wonder why the Celestials didn't come after him for interfering in the affairs of humans, because they told the Eternals not to interfere.
Hi Marvel decoded In the comics Thanos is a deviant and a titian. So the Eternals would have been ok to interfere. I guess they changed that for the movies.

I thought it was #37 was but I’ve recently heard that he was briefly introduced in #23. Your the guru on this kinda stuff so I wanted to run it by you before I go hunting as even mid grade copies of that book are getting pricey
Hi Carl I wouldn't say he is introduced. There is a single panel where he is standing beside JJJ at a business club. He isn't named or says anything. Cameo at best. But yep he's there I pulled my issue and found him.

I like the word “inclusion”. Comics were homogeneous when I started collecting and now creators are trying to be more inclusive, though not always successful doing so because it feels forced. Woke Implies that you somehow turn on a switch and somehow become enlightened. Inclusion is a process, a journey, our society changes and so does storytelling
Contest of champions is not a dollar bin book. Been trying to find a number 1 on its own for for under 10 bucks for 3 years... number 1 alone goes for 10-20 at all of the lcs’ and cons I’ve been to.
