Bobby was crazy good but so underrated at the time. He’s not even named in the top 20 best singers of all time when I think he should be number one.
The iconic Righteous Brothers. They were given that name by a Black Marine, when they played at the Presidio in CA. He just looked up at Bobby and Bill singing and said "Righteous Brothers". It stuck and the rest of their career took off. Two of the finest voices ever recorded. Blue eyed soul. Bobby Hatfield's voice is just stunning. Absolutely wonderful. Miss them both.
This is the soul music, my generation grew up on ❤❤❤ They are actually not blood brothers, but definitely brothers in every other way ❤❤❤
No auto tune…. Just pure talent!! Live recording! Righteous!
Sweet, handsome, talented Bobby Hatfield had more soul in his little finger than anyone in that era. Righteous Brothers was the perfect duo but so happy they did solos. Check Bobby out doing Unchained Melody or My Prayer for another phenomenal performance.
He was a 4 letter athlete and studrnt body president in long beach caali. They hooked up and were named by a black marine from camp pendleton in socal. Not the presidio in san Francisco
Bobby Hatfield was the greatest. He had a voice he had soul and everything else
Bobby is one of a kind RIP, Bobby!!❤️
Their kind of music is called " Blue Eye Soul " Live and no gimmicks or auto tune. Just pure voice
Bobby was the man! So underrated and I cannot understand why. Such a talent, he just blows me away.
Unchained Melody…. The Goat! Unbelievable! Amazing! All time most beautiful love song!
They were very popular and well known in the 60s. My favorite group.
The Righteous Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003 before Bobby passed away later that year.
Rest in Peace Bobby Hatfield😔
We had beautiful music back in the day and it still sounds good today. Enjoying your reaction
I don’t know if you’ve delved into Janis Joplin but she also performs this song and her version is effing unbelievable! When I think of this song all I can think about is Janis Joplin‘s version which is probably my absolute favorite but Bobby really killed this song!
Love your reaction to my favorite brother. This guy puts his all into this one. I have all of their vinyl record albums in my collection. RIP Bobby...love your voice! ❤❤
He was magic!!!
@@lightatthecape2009yes he was! My favorite brother!
You should hear "Soul and Inspiration" or You've Lost That Loving Feeling " or watch them sing"What'd I Say " on the Andy Williams Show. Whether they sing a solo or together.....they never miss. Love Me Some Righteous Brothers 🥰!!!
Brown eyed woman (Bill!). I Just Want to Make Love to You., - Good to see new audiences discovering this!
Try In The Ghetto by Elvis Presley.
He sang Unchained Melody in the movie Ghost
I used to dance his songs when a teenager. they opened for The Beatles in their first U.S. tour in 64. the tide changed completely. New genre of music. They had several hits during the next years ❤
He just called him brother because of their name; they were not biological brothers. Check out their song, “I Just Want to Make Love to You “. I think Bill sings that one - a lot of soul in that one, too.
If you look for it you will find that this is a lullaby. The first song from Porgy and Bess. The first all Black musical on Broadway. Written in the 1920's and set in Charleston, S.C. The cast had Sammy Davis, Jr. and Sidney Poitier among others. Sammy Davis played the low-down no-good Sportin' Life. Look for it on youtube!
Never heard this...thankyou so much...great version!!! And yes totally live...no room for even one off note! 🙏👻
Magnficent and your comments are excellent plus you have brilliant sense of humor. Cheers
You are so funny! Love your appreciation for Bobby and Bill (who are not real brothers).Cracked me up picturing you in the gym listening to this🙂. Besides songs mentioned below, also check out their live version of "You'll Never Walk Alone". Keep up the great reactions!
Bobby had no equal on his best day, Elvis could never hit those notes.
Bobby had no outrageous outfits Bobby was himself
A great singer, great entertainer. Always a pleasure to watch.
"Harlem Shuffle " is with both of them. Fantastic! A must hear!!!
I've been a fan since '64, and Little Latin Lupe Lu
Bobby was amazing, a rare counter-tenor. And together he and Bill were the very best. Watch the movie "Ghost."
In 1965 I was a sophomore in high school. The Righteous Brothers were awesome. They were only brothers in their soul music, lol.
There was an extremely popular movie, I feel sure you might have heard the name. "Top Gun" which was premiered in 1986. Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer both stared in the movie. But the song "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" by The Righteous Brothers was used as the soundtrack for the movie...oh, and also, part of the same song "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" was also used in the movie "Ghost" with Patrick Swayze.
You are correct except the song in "Ghost" is Unchained Melody (Bobby solo).
@Julie N. oops my bad...thanks for clearing that up 👍
Yes, they have sang in movirs. My favorite was Ghost where Bobby Hatley sang Unchained Melody. Soo beautiful!!!
I can't stop listening to him
Shon at the gym bumpin Bobby Hatfield!!💯👌😂👏
"What I'd Say," (both of them) with Andy Williams.
"Unchained Melody" sung by Bobby.
"Brown Eyed Woman" sung by Bill Medley (the other "Brother")
If I seen someone bumpin Bobby Hatfield, I would give them an universal nod 😂
Talk about range, you should hear him sing Unchained melody, another level that makes you fall in love
Listen to Bobby Hatfield sing 'Stay with Me '. Fine...
Fabulous reaction...
Thank you do very much uoung man for finally, I repeat finally letting Mr. Bobby Hatfield finish singing yhe song. If you got a chance, please play "Me and Little Andy" by Dolly Parton. When the song is finished, let us know what you think of it that is if you fo at sll. Adios Amogo. Adios.
Hey brother, I really appreciate your reaction to Bobby may god rest his soul. You should see all the videos of the righteous brothers. Have a good day
You should listen to Unchained Melody also sung by Bobby Hatfield.
Supposedly they were entertaining some troops under a different name and some were saying those are some righteous brothers and they took that name, but they weren't brothers, it was just a saying people would use. That's righteous used to be common to say.
I have this on my gym play list. The power and the beat of this song works great when you're getting into your work out groove.
Yes real brothers.
Listen to Unchained Melody by Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Bros. It was the song in the movie Ghost with Whoopi, Demi Moore
I think I've become your NUMBER ONE reaction supporter. Keep on keeping on, young Gentleman. Listen to Led Zeppelin's D'yer Maa'ker. You are going to be shocked by Reggae Soul.
I love your videos Shon, you have such a sweet spirit and always seemto say the right things 'with malice towards none'. Thank you so much!
They aren't blood brothers but considered each other as soul brothers.
Soul, soul and soulful
I love the oldies❤
Wonderful reaction as usual🔥
Unchained Melody by Bobby Hatfield of The Righteous Brothers was featured in the soundtrack of the movie Ghost with Patrick Swayze,Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldburg.
The best thing about it is that relationships back then were like this music. This was decades before hook up culture. Back when a man loved his woman and women were worth loving. That's what comes out in the music.
The song "Summertime" is from the musical "Porgy and Bess". Ella Fitzgerald did a rendition of this song, as did Janis Joplin.
If you want to hear some more Bobby, He has 2 solo records, The other Brother which like his greatest hits and Messin in Muscle Shoals(which many are on the Other Brother lp). Also other great song is Stay with Me and What's the Matter Baby

You got it!!
Yes please Elvis Presley "in the ghetto" love your reactions thanks 🙏
No they are not brothers in real life. Their names are Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley. Bobby sings the high tenor parts and Bill sings the low bass parts.
Righteous brothers classics are awesome wild bill
This is the best arrangement of this song I've ever heard. Bobby...Bobby baby...you rocked it. If you'd like to hear BILL knock one out, listen to "I Just Wanna Make Love to You."
Unchained melody ,from the movie "Ghost "😊
Now you've heard one of the finest vocal versions of this great old classic, why not try THE best instrumental version, by Larry Adler, on harmonica, & Itzhak Perlman, on violin!
They were appearing as guests, on the Parkinson talk show, on the BBC, waaay back in the 70's, and Michael Parkinson, the host, asked them if they'd 'do a turn' unrehearsed!
Well, they ended up playing one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard!
I guarantee you'll be impressed!!!
They just call each other brothers
Welcome to the wonderful world of blue-eyed soul!
Cool and the gang. Take my heart ❤️❤️
I just loved your reaction you're not bad to look at either LOL I'm 89 years old I still know what I know what I see. You just listened to the best in the West I don't know how he does those whatever he's doing at I never heard any other singer do that I know they call it a name or he goes in and out and around I guess the other people here told you already they're not Brothers but they're good friends I guess his friend Bill Medley still sings here and there he must be at least 80. And the movie he did was ghost he sang.
Bill Medley produced the recording of this song. It was after they split from Phillies Records and Phil Spector of ‘the wall of sound’ production style fame. Bill stated that he merely tried to copy what Spector had done with recordings.
Blue eyed soul brother.
These two were real soul singers. Here's Bill doing blues ruclips.net/video/16rnqBZURIc/видео.html and both R&B ruclips.net/video/N6O-fFgl5vE/видео.html You won't find these live because they were too raunchy for TV 😊
Bobby best summertime of all time Wild bill
Chained Melody, Top Gun & Ghost
His song was in Ghost Unchained melody
3 and one half octave range
Play the song "What I Say" when they were on the Andy Williams show.

I’d like to see your reaction to Roy Orbison’s “Only the Lonely” and “Crying”.
His song was in Ghost
I HEARD ONE OF THEM say after a show early on, a guy stood up and said THATS RIGHTEOUS BROTHER
This is in the 60's. They play'd in the 60's
Oh forgot to say unchained melody playing in background
Wait till he hears him sing unchained Melody
Not brothers. Bobby Hatfield and Bil Medley.
Bobby n Bill were not blood brothers...But brothers just the same...
dude... i watched one of your vids the other day, enjoyed it, and forgot to subscribe... i have corrected that mistake 🤣 But for real, you must have uploaded this right after i gave up finding any more reactions to it.
You're adorable, and you have excellent taste!
Hatfield played about 3 movies
If you saw the movie Ghost with Whoopi Goldberg his version of the song unchanged melody
Listen to Sarah Vaughan's blues version of Summertime
❤❤❤❤
They are not brothers. Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield.
You should play, cry to me, by Solomon burke, I am sure you will like it
Elvis in the ghetto!
No, it is Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley who is equally talented. Listen to Bill sing something on his own. One is high and the other is deep. Bobby is gone now and Bill is 82. They didn’t sing any bad songs. Listen to Bobby singing Ebb Tide. Over 670 people recorded Unchained Melody including Elvis. I don’t have to hear them all to know Bobby did it best.
Thanks for making 1965 sound ancient. You haven’t listened to Elvis when he was the only white man in the South in the 50’s fighting for equal rights. They called him the white N word, they smashed his records and banned his music. He grew up in his Ghetto and when he was a little boy in Tupelo Mississippi he found a Baptist Church near his shack and went inside. He never knew he was the only white child in there because he never saw colour. His love of music started in Gospel music and he recorded more than 220 Gospel songs. James Brown used to go to his house and they would sing Gospel until morning.
Start with Elvis’s 68 comeback. The song he sang was honour of his two friends both killed MLK and Bobby Kennedy. He only sang it twice in public because it made him emotional. If I Can Dream.
Watch Ghost with Demi Moore and Patrick Swaze
You need to watch Fantasia from American idol do this. You will flip your hat
I was just born I'm 58
Unchained melody you reacted to before is on the movie Ghost with Ole Patrick Swayze and Demi

Check Unchained Melody featuring Bobby Hatfield. It was his solo. Bill Medley had solo songs too. You keep calling us bro and we're not related This when you had to have talent NOT like today's garbage.
