    A good friend of mine who’s an avid Xbox 360 gamer since launch in 2005 always says this: if you want an Xbox 360 model that provides maximum reliability and the lowest chance of getting the RROD, avoid all early models from 2005 to 2007 at all costs, be careful about picking up the original models from 2008, 2009, and maybe early 2010, and go for the S models (2010-2013) or the E models (2013-2016).

    I pick up every black Jasper Elite with a good appearance that i find in the wild. I love the og style, and it looks perfect standing beside my seriesX

    I still have my WiFi-less 360! And it still plays games! Although I had to buy the WiFi adapter to update the console in order to play some backward compatible OG XBOX games

      I'm glad I tracked down that wifi-N adapter because I don't have a wired connection.

    IIRC the XBLA Marketplace for the 360 will be shutting down in April, so if you want to download digital titles and DLC, you don't have much time.

      yeah I mentioned it in the video - I'll be making sure it's the main focus in the next one. Shame because there's a lot of cool games that will be locked to the store.

    360 is a great system to collect for. Super affordable, especially in Europe because nobody cares about Xbox over here.

      yeah I think might snag a couple more games for the 360 while the getting is good.

    Jasper models and the Kronos are probably the best ones to get still and are probably the most reliable. S and E are fine as well but the 4GB storage models seem to failing now so I’d avoid those

    Great info, but the Arcade models were called the “Core” models before the rename in 2007.

    Been playing Skyrim occasionally for years and didn't know I could yell to use shouts.. Slightly better than my rage of throwing the controller.
    In all honesty I picked up my Kinect for the Star Wars game. Those creepy parody songs got me on my feet.

    I bought a 250 GB Xbox 360 S last month. I was never planning on buying one until one day when I randomly thought to myself that I really should purchase games from the Xbox store before it shuts down next year. I'm very glad I did. Bought a lot of games that are still not playable on the new Xbox consoles, and there are plenty more that I'm going to purchase soon.

    My first one was an arcade that I eventually sold to a buddy, now I have a slim and an elite. Still one of my favorite systems ever. Funny enough the ones I see at thrift stores the most are the originals with no hdmi port. Thats a hard no from me every time

      @SuperNicktendo  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I wouldn't chance it either. I found a slim for $50 and it works like a charm!

    Toshiba’s HDDVD had a tough road against the PS3’s built-in Blu-ray

    • @SuperNicktendo
      @SuperNicktendo  7 месяцев назад

      yeah having a built in blu-ray was an advantage even if it took a bit for the price to come down.

    Are you reading a script? I see eye movement 😂
    One of my favourite consoles, it would be nice to hook up an older model up to a CRT.

    • @SuperNicktendo
      @SuperNicktendo  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I use a script/teleprompter for all my videos. I changed the location of my camera so I'm a bit closer to it so the eye movement is a bit more obvious.
