Whoever was the one in Capcom's design team to come up with combining drunken boxing with breakdancing deserves a medal because it's the coolest fucking thing.
@@mothepeach Any character can be in the right hands, but he's not top tier. He's not a bad character far from it, but he's not top. Every tier list has him low B to solid C. The character at top tier is Ken since his kit is highly versatile, powerful, fast, and just all around works the best against anyone no matter if you're using Modern or Classic controls. It's why the majority of matchups are Kens because of how good he is.
Jamie grew on me _very_ quickly. Having his style be a mix of drunken boxing and breakdancing/capoeira was a genius decision that really exemplifies how carefree he is. I'm especially fond with the way his animation changes when he reaches drink level 4. Other drunken boxers in other games usually get sillier and more erratic as drink more, like Virtua Fighter's Shun Di. Jamie actually becomes more graceful when he maxes out. He and his hair flow like water, it's absolutely gorgeous to look at.
Truly his most supernatural power is how that intricate 7-10’ braid of his magically undoes itself instantly, upon hitting stage 4 drunkenness lol In the end his true secret art isn’t one of his kung fu techniques, it was his drip
Agreed 100%. I feel like of the new fighters we've seen he's the best representation of the new style of character Capcom is evolving too. No shade on Luke, but Jamie is one I'm really excited to play.
When I first saw Jamie, I didn’t care 🤣 All I could see was my boy Luke got a new set of clothing and some slightly reworked moves and I was PUMPED! Every day, I would watch at least an hours worth of Street Fighter VI gameplay and the hype was real! Only recently did I start taking notice to the flowing, graceful movements of the drunken fighter and I had some serious amounts of neurone activation. My mind was racing, and all I could think was “He can do what now!?” I love his movements and personality. I’m super excited to get to try him out! My only issue with Jamie is his hair physics: when his hair comes out of the lovely braid, it waves like there’s a lack of gravity and constantly clips into his body. This is seen clearer during his victory animation. I’m pretty sure that his hair physics will be adjusted as time goes on, but it doesn’t matter too much as his hair has no effect on the rest of his character

@Precious Choi @Twisted Gambit For me, I really like how the tone becomes a lot more subtlety menacing in the low health section of the song because it reflects how Jamie’s Critical Art, which replaces your super at low health, shows him using a throat ripping technique instead of the usual double kick at the end of his normal super. It’s a really small thing but it goes a long way to giving this otherwise carefree fighter for justice, already a cool character, a layer of sinister depth. Where did he learn this throat ripping technique? What is it meant to do to its victims? Why does Jamie of all people use it?

i genuinely love the critical health section, mostly because it sounds like, what most fighting games don't consider, that you're really on the verge of consciousness, about to be knocked out in any spare few hits, and someone is just playing this through a radio in the background and all you're absorbing is warped, distant-sounding, and hard to make out noise in the background
For the one person in another comment section calling this generic and boring and saying you could a find a royalty free stock music better than this easily, you need to rethink your entire life.

It shakes hands with "Funky Dealer" from JSRF.
1:47 literally so groovy and stylish just like the fighter this is for, capcom really nailed it with it’s character themes regardless of their drastic changes to their original fighters’ music
i genuinely love the critical health section, mostly because it sounds like, what most fighting games don't consider, that you're really on the verge of consciousness, about to be knocked out in any spare few hits, and someone is just playing this through a radio in the background and all you're absorbing is warped, distant-sounding, and hard to make out noise in the background
Dope theme! I hope some of the stage themes get released too. I'd love to hear the Genbu Temple theme!
Awesome character, awesome theme, that gives me "Enter the Dragon" with 90s vibes. Definitely maining this guy.
I absolutley love the fact that he has an attack called „intoxicated assult”
FINALLY. I've been waiting for Jamie's track to be released ever since I heard it in the gameplay showcases
For the one person in another comment section calling this generic and boring and saying you could a find a royalty free stock music better than this easily, you need to rethink your entire life.
I feel that comment is unintentionally less of a jab at how generic this music is and how good some copyright-free music can be.
@@Djay_B maybe he should link a Kevin MacLeod song instead of bitchposting
Soooo funky, sooo good, already addicted. Reminds me Jet Set Radio funkiness with hiphop elements from Third Strike and a pinch of Jin Kazama's Theme from Tekken 3.
They didn't have to go THIS HARD but they did. Amazing theme, can't wait to hear what the rest of the themes sound like!
Who knew this guy was going to have such a bop of a theme
I mean he is a breakdancer. It'd be weird if he didn't
What i really like about jamies theme is it feels like it cam straight outtve a rush hour fight scene with jackie chan and chris tucker
This game is suspiciously TOO good. Can't wait.
*"NICK, YOU SHOULD JUMP INTO MAGMA MOUNTAIN, NOW! YOU SHOULD JUMP IN THE LAVA, NOW!!"*
Can we just appreciate that one of his taunts has him vibe to the opening notes?
This is by far the best character theme of all, make all the music as fun as this, the dynamic changes it had, how it evolves, is just the perfect fit for a fighting game, that's the songs we are looking for a fighting game.
I adore this theme so much!
I respectfully disagree, bro
This is 2nd best after dee Jay theme.
If you haven't heard it, go listen to it now
You gonna love it
@@mohamedsuudi7063 I heard it and I understand why you like it, but for me is too constant, is a nice song to chill on a tropical island, but for a fight, it doesn't have that strong energy you need.
That's why I like so much Jamie's theme, it have every phase of a fight, it had a pause before the final showdown and in the end it tells you "Is not over yet, gotta keep moving", for me that's amazingly well done in his theme, is not just because it sounds good or the rhythm is catchy.
@Carlos Luna I get it bro.
You just described dee Jay's personality.
The guy is the type who is chill 😎 always whether he is in a fight or not.
This is why the music fits him perfectly.
Also, maybe i like this theme so much because of my obsession with reggae music
This theme has turned the tide of battle for me on multiple occasions. 👍🏽👍🏽
We robin a bank in the 80s wirh this one
From what we know about Jamie, I'd say this is by far the most fitting theme in this game so far. It being freaking amazing is a nice bonus.
Best thing is when jamie sings it with beat during his back taunt, probably my favourite taunt right now
This is my favourite sf theme of all time,I love the funk and jazz that Jamie brings to sf.
By far one the best themes in this game, holy smokes.
2:08 That's the Aomori Motif from CVS2!
Nice spot. Can't unhear it now.
I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING CRAZY xD
Thats my fav OST from cvs2 when i was a kid bro, and the first time i watch Jamie gameplay i instantly buy sf6 because of his style and movelist, thats just to cool to notice the Music and all his stuff that got me very very quickly has this coincidence
THE TOP PLAYER IS HERE
Whoever in capcom added the burning rangers theme is a genius
One of the best themes SF has ever brought forth.
SF6 might be on the way to be one of the games with the best soundtracks ever to a videogame. Love it!

Finally its here
One of the games of all time
All capcom games have fantastic music and it looks like sf6 is pushing that to the next level
I think it is the worst in whole series.
Not even the best in SF.
This is the first track I have zero complaints with.
Ryu ?
@@Ghaust8546 his didn't fit him as a character
@@Ghaust8546 it’s not a ryu theme so I didn’t like it at all. I don’t care how much people try to say it fits. It’s just a funk instrumental, you could have a theme that illustrates whatever new stage his life is in while still keeping the spirit of his old themes genre wise. His theme feels assigned to him and not made for him.
And people are blowing the whole he conquered the dark hado thing out of proportion because he did that in 3 anyway, and his personality is the exact same as it is in this game. His music still fit in those games though
Either way though, Jamie’s was good.
@@titaniumbat7820 while I agree w you, I do like the thought of ryu “figuring it out” w his power and evolving to the next level and feeling accomplished
Well yeah, he's a new character so even if his theme didn't " fit him " at all you wouldn't know
This song set such a high peak for me music wise and so far no one has even come close to beating the top player. Easily the best song in the game so far.
Absolutely master crafted music wise. So dynamic and fluid.
*FINALLY!!!!!!* We’ve waited over a month for this!
Jamie is my trainig partner jsut because of this song.
Just here celebrating before 1M views, cause this funk deserves it
Feeling the FUNK in this one, both past and future.
Not gonna lie, I'm hyped as fuck for this game.
Oh man, as soon as I get me Studio Monitor Headphones and an IEM. I'm so gonna listen to every instrument played on this track.
this is already a classic
Did this and the fact that he hums the tune make you wanna play as him?
Aye I dig the horns and drums big time! Looking forward to the future.
Loving the way this music is going for street fighter 6
Not me Pop-Lockin' and Bboyin' at 3 in the morning right now 😂! This track slaps! 1:47-2:30 stays livin in my head rent free! 🔥
