Welcome back to 2021 and man the year is starting off with a bang! Today's review is of the @adidasfootball Predator Pro Hybrid Promo Goalkeeper Gloves, the same ones preferred by Marc Andre Ter Stegen, Keylor Navas, and pretty much all the other top Adidas Pro GKs across the world.
For a good reason, the hybrid promo carries a different cut, latex, and fit that takes the average thin fit of the predator pro and turns it into a gorgeous top level pro glove contender so why haven't we seen more hybrid options for the keeper market?
Probably due to the absolute terrible durability of the URG 1.0 palm! it's really a one to two-time use glove especially on tough matches or on turf so you won't be seeing just anyone wearing these gloves considering they are close to 150$!

was thinking about getting myself a pair of these as my secondary game gloves and just switch back and forth between my uhlsport pure alliances and the predator pros but since i want a grippy and durable latex that’ll last more than 2-3 games i think i’ll just stick with uhlsports for now
yea you will lose the grip after one or two days, even if you dont use it like crazy the latex will dry out quickly it is very very brittle
@@ARSGoalkeeping yea it’s really a shame tbh it’s a great glove none the less tho hopefully adidas will come up with something in the future that doesn’t sacrifice grip for durability or durability for grip as they seem to be doing with the URG 1.0 and 2.0 latexes. Great video tho man, cheers 💪🏽

The difference in padding is massive, unless they have a thicker urg 2.0 on the hybrid models, I will have to give them a look 🕵️♂️

Yes but the urg 2.0 latex on the predator pro is embossed and much thinner im hearing the hybrid pro latex isnt embossed but i gotta see it in person
How long do they last
How long does the nike promo latex last for?
Its very much like a contact latex in performance and durability. You can definitely make it last a full season
quaite a long time tbf! I think promo latex was one of the best if not the best latex ive ever had but try to avoid rain.

Good honest review..! Great glove for a final or every important game unless your loaded and can afford a new pair r 2 every game. but its a treat every goalkeeper must have at least once before they stop playing.. keep up the good work..!

@@nathanduggal6205 durabillity wise the URG 2.0's are better than the URG 1.0's from the sources ive read and heard from... i have mine but i still havent tested it out yet because of Covid rules and a knee injury, i did use URG 2.0 before this one aswell not the hybrid variant but the ultimate variant. So if youre looking for durabillity > grippyness id definitly would go for the URG 2.0 also the 2.0's are cheaper aswell. Hope that helped you out bro

Used them in 6 matches playing on 8x8 carpet grass. Then they got totaled. Looks great, feels good but not vfm.

Im hearing really good things about them, if the latex is the non embossed style its probably amazing and it sounds like thats the case!

Great review but a schoolboy error. These gloves should be dampened before use. Before matches I always soak a pice of kitchen roll in warm water and then place it between the palms of the gloves until the water is absorbed across the entire surface of the latex. Then repeat until all the foam is moist. Grip is still fantastic but more natural and they will last 4 times as long. Gloves should be damp tacky not dry and once damp, worth giving them a couple of squirts off glove glu.

Hey ARS i need your help before i make an order. So I’m looking to buy these gloves and i currently wear size 9 in the Adidas Predator Ace and it fits exactly on my hand like exactly the size of my palm. My hand is 7.48 inches?
Should i get the size 9 or 9.5?

is this glove possible to get for youth goalkeepers because ive played agaisnt a lot of teams with my youth team and a lot of goalkeepers on the other team had these gloves
There are junior sizes yes but I don’t really recommend these for young keepers

Yeah I’ve got a pair of the urg 2.0, highly recommended been using them for around 10 matches and trainings and are still in great condition

so with these gloves, strapped or strapless? I have a pair of strapless predtors without the rolled finger, unfortunately the gloves are a size too big which makes it difficult. Should I still chase the Adidas brand or is it time to move on?
if its no rolled finger I would say no go

Ive seen them, was thinking about buying but really wanted to check the 1.0 at the time, not sure if the 2.0 latex on the hybrid model is the same used on the predator pro negative cut model if it is the latex is very thin and has very little grip
@@ARSGoalkeeping I dunno. I haven't tried them myself to be honest. Was put off Adidas gloves the last couple of years. Too expensive for what you get IMO.
Reusch and Uhlsport are expensive but you get your moneys worth I think.
Check out justkeepers website. They have the 2.0. I use these for every game and rate them highly. I play an elite level and the padding is more than enough.
@@ARSGoalkeeping it's not the same latex as the predator pro neg cut..it's alot fluffier and super comfortable.. the grip for me lasts about 2 months training everyday before it dries out. 😊 hope you can pick up a pair and try them out. 👌

They did really! URG 1.0 is no joke soft I’ve heard a few keepers making them last longer but I know of several pros that have gloves like these that don’t last a half. If you’re looking for a tournament glove that price is good but if you want to use it for games and training look for the urg 2.0 variation
Great video Berto, Adidas needs to add a punching area on the back of their strapless gloves instead of the demon skin which will torn your hand up if you punch well crossed shot.
Nah it wont tear up your hand at all it just doesnt do anything. Soft little drips of gel on the back of the hand but big ups thank you for watching as always!
